wondering if i could get some advice, i took a pregnancy test yesterday, the control lone appeared but the whole other part of the dip stick took a looong time fade away, eventually when it had there was a pink line - unsure if i should take this as a positive? Since it took longer than 10mins for the colour to run through? Should i assume it was a defected test? Or i over saturated it? Confused! Not a very good quality picture, i could certainly see a line, now i am doubting my seld! Help

It is hard to say for sure because of the time elapsed (most tests will show pregnant within 3mins). The only sure way to know would be to try testing again. You could try making an appt with your Dr & explaining that you think you may have had a positive preg test but are doubting you've used it right, they normally have some tests within the surgery & can test a wee sample whilst you're there or they could also test your blood for hormone levels.

Looks to me like you've over saturated it, or gone over the line to dip. I think the packet says not to read the result until the 'background' is clear, which it isn't. Could well be a defective test.
Just test again
