Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

So this may sound a little strange but the nurse at the hospital has confused me.
I've been TTC for 6 months, last month I found out that I was pregnant, I did three pregnancy tests, first test there was an extremely faint line then the next two were clear positive's.
These tests were done the day I was due on my period which was a Tuesday. On the Saturday morning Hubby and I went on holiday. On the Sunday evening I started bleeding, I bled on and off for 3 days, heavy for the first day and the very lightly. I spoke to the doctors back home who told me there was nothing I could do if I was having a miscarriage and to just visit a&e when I got back home.
We got back to England the following Sunday night so I would have been nearly 6 weeks pregnant if I were pregnant and hadn't miscarried.
They did a test and it came back negative, they tested my blood and I had a hcg level of 1!
The nurse said that its incorrect that there's no such thing as a false positive and that I wasnt pregnant.
I spoke to a friend who is a midwife who said she was wrong and that you cant get a false positive and it would have been a very early miscarriage. So now I just don't know, I had a positive and was 5 days late by the time I started bleeding so thought I was but why were my hgc levels so low?!?!
Anyhow Im ok and have had another period since then
People have said well at least you know you both work and that you can get pregnant but do I know that?!! Was I pregnant?!
Sorry this is so long!
Any advice or help??

hi west middles lass
from what i know you cant get a false positive, its is more likely your were pregnant but suffered an early m/c.
i had 2 m/c last year 1 in june/july time and i had clear positives then a few weeks later negatives and then again in december but had to have a d&c xmas eve to remove my bubba.
both pregnacys where shown up in blood test and early scans.
im sorry i cant offer any more info, have you started ttc again?

I agree, you were pregnant and suffered an early miscarriage. I'm sorry chick There are no false positives, especially if you had 3 of them.
Good luck ttc and I hope that your ttc journey is short and sweet
