Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

Hi ladies. I had 2 miscarriages so far. Last one was 5 weeks ago. We started to try immediately and last week I did a test and it gave me a faint positive. Could it be that I am pregnant again? Did a blood test as well and hcg was 21. Very low but positive. Im scared it is left over hormones from previous preg. I was 10 weeks. I have headaches and tired and most days morning sickness but without throwing up. Also a bit of cramps. All the urine tests I did so far for a week show faint positive. What do you think?

What did your Doctor say?

He highly doubts that it can be a new pregnancy. I need to go for a follow-up blood test tomorrow and will then know results on Thursday. Just feel I can't wait any longer and want to know if there are anyone else with the same situation?
I just did another test and it shows faint positive again...

How faint? What is the sensitivity of the test you are using? Are they getting fainter or stronger?

Faint but you can still see it with the eye. Basically staying the same, not getting darker or lighter. Does not make sense because it should be darker by now... did tests for a week now. Sensitivity is 20mlU/ml. Last week Wednesday the blood test showed 21 hcg

thats not the most sensitive then. Taking a clear blue digital probably wouldn't help because I would imagine it will give you a result based on the hch quantity but that may not be accurate if the hcg is from an old pregnancy. Sounds like there's nothing more you can do

Ok thank you so much :-) Hoping for the best

Your replies really assisted me in getting through this period in my life. I do have another situation I want to ask you about or anyone else that have insight in something like this:
My story is that I had 2 miscarriages so far. Last one was 21/03/2016. Then I still had the hcg hormones (count = 14) on the 25/04/2016 and thought I was pregnant. Apparently it was just leftover hcg hormones. I still haven't had a period and took a test yesterday 9/05 and it came out positive. The line was actually more visible than the ones I took two weeks ago. Can it be possible that I am pregnant again? My lower back hursts constantly, most of the time at the left side. I have lower abdomen pains for 5 days now. I had two or three stabbing pains in my breasts but not much. What should I do?

thank you hopingfor pleased I could help.
im surprised your levels havent gone down. You should go for another blood test to see what's going on see if your levels are rising or back up again or falling.
Maybe your miscarriage didn't complete or it was only threatened or maybe this is a new pregnancy but it would be very early for that at just over 2 weeks Or maybe multiple fetuses if it's possible?

The 18th my levels was 21. On the 25th my levels was 14. So within a week it came down quite fast. I think the previous pregnancy should be done by now? Also when I did the urine tests for those weeks the second line was extreamly light and took a while to appear. Yesterday the second line came in 5min and it was clear, but not as dark as the control line.
If one is expecting twins, does the hcg hormone rise faster? I have no idea what to think.

I have no idea on that but definitely worth getting another blood test and/or scan

Hi Meme210. I just had another blood test done and the hcg count is 81. What do you think?
11/05/2016 at 13:45
It's risen so it's either a new pregnancy or there is something left of the old one. What did Foctor say this time?

It was a private blood test so I was not at the doctor. I am planning to do one next week again and see

Good luck with it, I wish I had more information for you. Well done you though for going and getting the private blood test
