Trying to conceive

I'm booked in for my day 3 blood test on Friday but af seems to be refusing to arrive even though my temps have dropped and I'm on my 5th day of spotting (normally get max 3). The clinic said they can be done on days 2-5 so if it arrives tomorrow I'll still be ok but if it arrives Friday I won't be able to go until Tuesday (away all weekend back Monday night) which will be day 5. Just wondering if anyone knows if it matters if I don't go on day 3? I would like to trust the clinic but I've had an issue with them so want to double check. From googling I have seen a few places say days 2-4 which is making me even more unsure!

My AF was late when I was due to do mine so I had to re-book. Before I did though, I spoke to the nurse and she said that anywhere from 2 to 5 inclusive was fine.
Hope that helps. What was the issue you had with them if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks Tayto, hopefully af will arrive tomorrow if not I'll try and get in for Tuesday then. I guess if they are not a good result I could get them done again when I see the NHS consultant. I'm just so frustrated as everytime I plan something my body messes up and I'm really worried about the spotting, 3 days was managable but 5 or more is just a joke :-(
I wasn't 100% happy with the consultant we saw as it felt like she just fobbed us off really and I wasn't happy with the hycosy either it just seemed a bit unprofessional there. I then found out from my acupuncturist that I should have had these day 3 bloods done and they were completely missed!! I paid £800 (luckily covered by insurance but not the point) and they missed out this test! So angry but they have apologised and agreed to do them now but if there is a problem there this could have been found out months ago.
Sorry on a rant today feeling really rubbish, hopefully this is a sign of af xxx

Rant away sweetie, fully understandable. My rubella check one was missed and I had a huge go at the Doc but that only delayed me a week to be fair!
I'd definitely report the increase in spotting days when you see a fertility consultant - it doesn't feel right. Plus, they do tell us to report it if something goes amiss....
From what I know of the CD 2-5 bloods, it's checking if you have a high level of FSH - this is the hormone that produces the mature eggs - in pre-menopausal women, this gets very high as more is needed to produce the eggs. I think you have a very low chance of anything being wrong due to your age (you're under 30 iirc?) so hopefully that will help relieve any stress you may have for that test. I must admit It is pretty sh!tty that they forgot to do it given that you're private - you'd think that would make them a better care centre!

Thanks tayto, sadly I'm not under 30 anymore I'm now 31 but still fingers crossed should be ok and still got time on my side I hope! CD1 today so I can still go tomorrow on day 2 which feels like a huge weight lifted now! Thanks for putting up with my ranting the last few days it's been a very strange cycle for me, hoping for a better one this time! xxx
