Hi ladies, I am now on day 53 after coming off the pill and no AF. HPTs have all been BFN except one faint line which I think must have been evaporation. How long would you wait before ging to the Drs?

I had some 'lady' problems start about a year ago and had some tests, u/s etc but couldn't find anything wrong but as I was on the pill we didn't know if my periods were irregular or anything. They ended up saying they thought it was IBS but I was never sure this was the right diagnosis...I was always regular before going on the pill 12 years ago but that was a long time ago and I am worried the pill might have been masking some issues.

    Hi ck,

Depending on your age, your doctor won't do anything until at least six months of trying, or coming off the pill. I am 35 and have only had two cycles since coming off the pill at the beginning of august. I went to see my gp recently and was told he would do blood tests if I don't have a regular cycle by February. If I get a regular cycle in the meantime, then he would wait until we had been trying for six months before considering any testing. By all means visit your doctor, as they are all different, but be prepared to be told that you will just have to wait it out. Good luck x
