Trying to conceive

Am new to this site and just looking for a bit of advise really. I have been off the Depo injection since last july and got my periods back quite soon after, think it was around Sept. Since then, hormone wise i've been really up and down and mood and cycle wise too, but started ovulating in around Oct. We've been ttc since and have had no joy and to be honest, i'm getting really fed up with it.
Yesterday, I had, what I thought was a positive pregnancy test (there was deffo a line, a pink one. My husband and sister could deffo see it too) So was dead excited (plus had brown spotting 10 days after ovulation) so was really hopefull. Woke up this morning, got a negative test and what looks like more spotting I decided to go to the doctors, who was the most unhelpful person in the world, and just spent the entire tme looking at me like I was just imagining it or I was some kind of lunatic. Which I could be, I'm not sure anymore!! She said there was a possibility I was pregnant but I need to wait and then just do another test next week. I think i'd of prefered for her to say 'No, thats definately negative' then at least you can start again. I asked how it could be pink if it was negative and she just said 'sometimes these things just happen'...nice.
I feel so deflated and I know it'll take time, I know it can take over a year, I know that it'll happen when I least expect it, I know all of that but good god, HOW do you stop yourself from worrying/thinking etc?? I seem to attract smug women with babies too, that feel they need to tell me how young I am and I shouldn't worry, or why don't I go on holiday instead. It's funny the people that tell you not to have kids, are the ones that have them . Has anyone else had problems with the depo? I wish i'd never taken it, its been a flippin' nightmare coming off!
I hope I haven't ruined anyones day too much haha. I'm not normally so depressing, just feel so fed up after seeing that doctor, I wish I hadnt gone!

Your doctor sounds like a right idiot! Just like my GP to be honest. i was on the depo for 18 months and came off it 5 years ago. When I came off it, I used no protection for at least a year and a half and not got pregnant. We were not trying then as I was only 22 and our relationship back then was a bit messed up. My periods returned straight away. I do regret going on the depo too, just because I was told by one of the nurses that it was toxic and women should not be on it for more than 6 - 9 months. Thanks for telling me after I've been on it for 18 months!
I would suggest that you test again in a couple of days. They say that your preg hormone levels double every 48 hours so if you are pregnant the line on the test should get stronger / darker.
When is your af due?

It could have been implantation bleeding. I've never had it with my pregnancy in Feb (lost the baby unfortunately ) so not sure what it's like. Some people say that it is brown blood (spotting or when you wipe) so similar to what you've experienced but some people get a full flow?
I think my periods returned back to normal straight away. I was only 22 so not paid much attention to all this stuff then. I have only just started to monitor and symptom spot like a mad obsessed woman It is hard to forget or not to think or worry about it!
I stopped the pill last year and my periods returned back to normal straight away - I was pregnant within 2 months. We did track my ovulation, but did not symptom spot during the 2ww so not sure what symptoms I had. I only remember that I starte dfeeling very ill and dizzy on the day af was due. I tested 4 days later and got a very faint positive
So now, at the end of the 2ww I always want to feel sick and if I feel sick I start thinking that I am pregnant. What a loon, ehh? I felt very sick for the last two months and af arrived both times so my body was playing tricks on me - cruel!
Got a flashing smiley face today and I'm ready for a lot of BD-ing ha ha
Have you got any other pregnancy symptoms?

I didn't know that about pregnacare. I took it last month and my flipping cycle was still 35 days long They used to be bang on 26 day, but after the mc they are a lot longer - 35 days. So I assume this cycle is going to be just as long
I really hope that the tiredness is related to pregnancy and not just a lack of sleep

Oh, apparantly you can get a positive ovulation test in pregnancy also But if it is ovulation then you need to do a lot of BD-ing ha ha
I had another flashing smiley today so should get the 'solid' smiley tomorrow BD-ing every two days to make sure the little soldiers are stronger and faster swimmers
We will both be in the 2ww soon
Good Luck hun xxxx
