Trying to conceive

Just looking for some advise from those who have already conceived really.
me and the oh have been trying for 8 months without success, I've been using opks, dtd during the fertile window and when I'm ovulating last month we tried 3 times a day the day before I ovulated and the following two ovulation days.
ive tried laying with my legs and hips elevated, he's been fed everything to help as have i im on seven seas trying for a baby and I've had pregacare. But still get that monthly visit from af!
Im pretty spot on cycle wise. Anyway my main question is those who have fallen pregnant have you found success with every other day during the fw or more daily? So so so many conflicting reports I thought best way was to ask you helpful mums/mummy to be 🤰🏼
thanks ladies! Xxx

I was trying for 8 months then conceived I'm 8 weeks now.
The month concieve we DTD every other day, which we had been doing anyways. Things I did differently, I tried preseed fertility lubricant ( can get on amazon) and raised my hips on a pillow for at least 20-30 minutes after sex.
Not sure if any of those things contributed but maybe worth a try.

Also stopped using ovulation tests as found they added too much pressure

Thank you for replying Kimmi88. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Ive said the same about ovulation kits, Ive told the other half it's not worth me doing it if we're trying to relax about trying.
Think every other day seems to be more manageable everyday wore me out what with working and life continuing 3 times a day was more then tiring!
Good of luck with the pregnancy really hope it's an enjoyable exciting one too! Xxx

As far as falling pregnant I never "tried" to conceive as such. But the month I fell pregnant with this baby (31+5) it looks like we DTD most days for around a week which would have been ovulation week. I used an app to track my periods not too track ovulation as after years on contraceptives my body clock was far from regular and even whilst on pill I sometimes didn't bleed during break week but maybe a week into packet. I defo believe though that you can try too hard and over thinking it can be enough to stop it happening. Try few months without the added pressure and just DTD when you want rather than when you think you should. Good luck and have fun trying

awwww congratulations milliesmummy that's fab!
Move got ovia app it's pretty good for tracking prods when I think I'm late its there to remind me im not. Lol
other half has said it'll be easier if I continue to pee on the stick so we don't miss it, but I've just given him a little biology lesson which will now remind him I don't do yes or no dear answers, it's a lot of pressure on us women too!
Men don't get it really he certainly thinks it all falls out, or that it's going mean itll happen straight away. Even sent him a google link. Haha I'm not good with pressure so the sticks are going on top of the cupboard and we're just going with it. Haha
hope you continue to have a happy and healthy pregnancy milliesmummy not long now. Xxxx

we always have dtd pretty much everyday after my AF leaves until probably atleast 5/6dpo lol
Its just how we are, we don't do it because we have to we just are like that, hope that makes sense? We also used pre-seed fertility lube.
Good luck Hun x

There is a channel 4 documentary called the great sperm race. If you google it, it's well worth it :) talks about not doing it every day because the sperm need time to recharge :)
