Hi! I read in one of your posts that you have acupuncture. I started last week and have my second session tomorrow. Why did you go for it? Do you think it helped you get your BFP? Think I have just got AF after first month ttc (Cd43) so am really pleased! I went for acupuncture to try and regulate my cycle as was getting nervous that is was so long. Let me know your thoughts!
And I will be trying the water under the bed thing! x

Hi, yeah I first had acupuncture for pain relief following car accident 2 yrs ago. I really like and trust my therapist and she always explains things well to me. A lot of the stuff she's advised me to do had helped my general health. An example is that she said I was very "damp" in the body which isn't good within the Chinese principles and asked how much I ate cheese, I said at least once, sometimes twice a day (I'm a veggie) she advised me to cut down and I felt a lot better generally - less tired, less headaches, less constipation. Now I have it occasionally, and when I do the next day I get a headache like mild hangover, every time. She suggested eating pears to counter balance it and it works!

When we started ttc I decided to go back and went in specifically with ttc in mind. She said she'd need to see me around ov and just before af, and suggested the water thing. I saw her 4 times then got BFP. Like with all these things it's hard to know if it would've happened naturally....(we were ttc for 4 months). but I enjoy it and think it helps me so to me it's worth it. I won't see her now til first trimester is over but will definitely go back then.

Other things we did - we both took royal jelly (from any health food shop) as meant to be a great fertility aid for the month before we conceived. We cut out caffeine quite a bit and alcohol a bit (do like odd couple glasses wine so didn't cut it out altogether. Don't miss it now funnily enough - had one glass 2 days before BFP and felt drunk, almost like body was poisoned!! straightaway). We also looked at our diet and I took some tips from Marilyn Glenville's website (www.marilynglenville.co.uk) re getting DH to eat lots of foods containing zinc etc.

Good luck!! Glad af has made an appearance for you. x

hi dlp01, I have just checked the packet and it doesn't state "do not use in pregnancy" - obv I'm no medical expert but from that I think it'd be fine.

There's lots of info on the net about it and it seems fab for general health and is age-old fertility remedy. x
