heya hunny i just wanted to say i can totally sympathise with your frustrations as i too am on CD 65 TODAY and am so so fed up!
its difficult for us ladies whom have these excruciatingly long cycles!
i bought a fertility monitor to use for next cycle but it seems pretty useless now if my cylces are so freaking long! im so confused with my body and really hate what it is doing to me emotionally.
I so emotional about the whole thing and have considered forgetting the whole TTC thing!

i hope our bodies will show us some grace soon enough sweetie
hope we can be there for one another...

    Hey girls,

Just wanted to add my tuppance worth. I too am of the long cycle variety, today is CD 40 so although its not quite as long as you guys have been waiting, I can definitely sympathise with you both. Its so frustrating. I think I could cope with AF arriving and BFNs if I knew I only had roughly two weeks until I was ovulating again, but with cycles over six weeks its such a long blooming waiting game isn't it? I can totally understand why you feel like giving up as I too feel like that today even though I'm only on CD 40. Went to the loo and had a bit of brown spotting so AF is probably on her way.

Anyway didn't really have any advice, but thought I'd drop in to sympathise and let you know you're not alone. I was thinking of getting a monitor next month too, but didn't know if it would work on my long cycles.

Maybe we should start a long cycle support club? What do you think?

Lets hope we all feel better soon and hopefully get our BFPs

    Hi

I've just seen this post and couldn't resist replying! I think that a long cycle support group would be a great idea! I'm currently on day 96 since my withdrawal bleed after stopping the pill in June. I never thought I'd say this, but I can't wait for AF to arrive or a BFP if that's possible! I've had some tests at the Doctors which showed my hormone levels were okay so am beginning to get a bit frustrated now. I just don't know what an earths going on with my body.

Just thought I'd give you a bit of hope (that's the intention anyway).

I came off the pill at the end of Jan this year. My first cycle was 51 days, second cycle was 122 days! Then my third cycle... got my BFP! So it can happen when you least expect it.

I had an early scan recently and they said (without me asking) that both my ovaries look good so it really can be nothing to worry about and just a huge interference from the pill. I know I won't be going back on the pill in a hurry though until I'm completely done with having babies!!

Anyway, just thought that might boost your PMA - you never know when you might get that BFP!

    Hi Moomin

First of all, congratulations on your BFP!

Thank you so much for your msg, it really is good to know that a BFP is possible when you really don't know what your cycle is going to be like!

    Hi Moomin

Thanks so much for your message. It really does give us long cyclers hope and huge congrats on your BFP.

Did you try ov sticks or anything Moomin or just BD every other day? Did you know you were oving? That's my only worry that I might not even be oving but when I went to the docs she just waved me away and told me to keep 'at it' so to speak!

Thanks again for your post though Moomin, so sweet of you

    hey ladies,

just thought I'd add - after my withdrawal bleed which lasted for 4 days, I then bled for around 2 weeks then seemed to completely miss a month before next af so think it's quite normal albeit frustrating.

    Good Luck to everyone x

    Hi ladies

The only things I did to monitor ov were check my cm and take my bbt - this was a godsend because during that 122 day cycle I'd have been testing every 2 seconds if I didn't know that I hadn't yet ov'd!! I didn't do ov sticks because I thought they sounded a bit unreliable and didn't want to waste loads of money.

Hi girls - like Moomin, I had l-o-o-o-o-ng cycles after the pill (nine weeks in one case), and still got a BFP.

It is hideous and I do sympathise but also wanted to say not to give up, because it can happen x

Hi kimxx sorry i completley missed this post as i didnt long on until quite late last night. Yes it would be fab to have someone to go throught the horrible long cycles with!
I am currently on CD 78 today and also have my can today so hopefully this will give me some answers. I know cycles can be really messed up after coming off the pill but this is 9 months later!!!

Babynumber1- When I came off the pill at the begining of December I dont think I had AF until march time, i think? I don't know how normal this is as I don't remember even having a withdrawel bleed as soon as i stopped taking it. But i do know exactly how you feel.

    Hi Sweetie123

Thanks for your message, I'm sorry to hear that you are still not settled into a shorter cycle since stopping the pill. I'm already getting impatient after 3 months so I can't imagine how you must feel after 9!! I hope that you get some answers from the scan that will help you know what is happening. I'm finding at the moment that the worst thing is not knowing.

I had some blood tests at the Doctor's a couple of weeks ago that said my hormone levels were okay so hopefully af might show soon. Although it's frustrating to have such a long cycle for us all, it's been reassuring to hear that other people on here have experienced the same and some gone on to get their BFP's already!

I hope everything goes well with your scan and that you get your BFP soon x
