I would test. I have one son, but have had several pregnancies... and every one has been different in some way. Oter than that, have you asked your doctor to run any tests? I've you've been trying that long I can't imagine why they wouldn't? x

Shish, you need to move doctors. If you've been trying for nearly 5 years, they SHOULD be doing something to help you out! A year of trying is pretty standard, but 5....jeez. They need to get their act together, refer you to a fertility clinic, for example. Please go to the doctor and speak to them, or ask to speak to another doctor - you shouldn't have to go through this for so long with no medical help.
Re: testing. Why not give it a go? If you don't think you're pregnant anyway, you're not losing anything.
I hope you get the help you deserve xxxx

i know how you feel when you say the doctors are no help i was three weeks late been trying for over a year, doctors wouldn't do anything then i ended up in hospital with suspected eptopic ,to find i had sever pcos and that what was causing me to claps and be in so much pain, i have had to change doctors and i would say the to do the same thing, if you've been trying for as long as you say you should have been referred by now. i would also say follow your gut instinct i new in my heart i had pcos and would have trouble getting pregnant and i said this to my partner, that i have a gut feeling i we needed to start trying even though i was only 20 at the time. trust your gut and do what you feel is right xxxx
