Trying to conceive

Wasn't quite sure where to put this - I *think* it belongs in here as it's something to think about when TTC'ing.
H and I are planning for our holidays in the Summer and, during a conversation with my sister (who already has two kids), she mentioned it was 'very dangerous' to fly if in 1st tri?! Even a flight as short as an hour.
I'm having a hard time believing this and a quick Google shows no known impacts (more of a choice thing) however she was adamant that you don't fly in 1st tri....! It didn't help that she didn't explain why plus she's very opinionated so there's no chance of a decent discussion - she *has* to be right!
The way it works out with our personal situation, best case scenario is that we could be in 1st tri when we're thinking about taking our hols so, if there are issues with flying in 1st tri, the planner in me feels like having the holiday sooner when I know we wouldn't be.....

I think it is more of a choice thing, I think I fellt so unwell in my 1st tri flying would of been a nightmare for me personally also I think if you have a bleed I had an awful one at 7 weeks where I thought Ihad lost him It would of been awful to be in another country personally.
Tbe risk of miscarriage is high in the first 12 weeks I think that stops people tbh
But I think its totally downto choice and only restricted in 3rd tri by airlines.
Not sure that helps lol, but I would still book a holiday though :) know one knows where ttc journeys will take us :)

A cousin of mine was advised, due to particular problems she had, not to fly in the first trimester. I think unless you are advised otherwise it's up to you.

I would say don't hold back when ttc, hopefully you will be lucky though! H and I have booked a holiday for June, I didn't want to wait and see what if and then not get our bfp and miss a holiday. If we are lucky by then I will see how I am I wouldn't mind losing the money for a bfp.
