Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

Good morning ladies,
Nothing exciting to report here, am 3dpo so just waiting. we only dtd the day before ov & not actually on ov so don't think I've done enough. Will have to wait & see. Does anyone think of excuses/reasons why they haven't got pregnant each month to make themselves feel better (like not getting a job after an interview & saying it's ok as you didn't want it anyway). For me I now realise that, in a strange way, I'm glad that I haven't got pregnant yet. My job has changed & instead of teaching booster classes I'm now job sharing in a year 3 class. We had parents eve last night & a few of the parents commented on how many different teachers some of them had in infant school & were slightly worried about about a change of teachers in their 1st term at our junior school. At least now, if when I do get pregnant I won't be due till August or the new academic year. Somehow this makes me feel a little better!
Take care to all who follow x

I think its a defense mechanism making excuses and being pessimistic as then you cant be as dissapointed when AF does arrive. Im doing the same totally this month (even if there is a secret little part of me that hopes it could happen), but im being realistic.
Im worried about my post ov temps. They are really low this month for some reason. They are never particularly very high but this cycle are just hugging the coverline. Could this indiciate a problem does anyone know?

We didnt DTD on the day of ov this cycle. The day before and the day after yes, but not the day of cos we had a huge row!! I blame hormones! Ideally you want the swimmers there ready and waiting for the egg so the day before is plenty x

Hey ladies. I'm 12dpo today and had a temp dip for me this morning so I've not bothered testing after all... assuming AF will appear at some point today but I'll just have to wait and see.
Blackkat - dtd the day before is probably perfect because it means the sperm are up there ready and waiting for the egg to released :)
Vikster - wouldn't worry too much about your temps, mine have varied post-ov each time especially as the coverline always tends to vary slightly too. You might find FF has given you a higher coverline compared to last time x
Rod - Hiii!

Thanks ladies, I just like to cover all bases & know that I did absolutely everything I could. But like you Rod, my H & I had a row. Of course I'd be over the moon if it happened this month but I just don't think it's our month (for some reason, I've been thinking Sept might be our month though). Will just have to wait & see.
Vik: I don't do temping so I've no idea about that, but fingers crossed for you x
Purple Star: Fingers crossed for you too x

Hi everyone. CD7 here so nothing interesting happening. AF just about gone - usually a 5 day AF became 7 for some reason, but the last 2 days have only really been spotting. Expecting ovulation between CD13 and 14 right in the middle of my night shifts which will be interesting. Going out to a nice gastropub with OH tonight as a date night and hopefully show ourselves that dtd isn't all about ttc.
Blackkat, hope your 2ww passes quickly
Vikster, sorry I don't know enough about temps, but see if FF's FAQ helps.
PurpleStar, hope AF stays away for you xx

Hello everyone, I'm new here, i used to go on the purple place and DW alot but that was a few years ago now, been having a bit of a break. Bit of background i have been ttc no 2 for 5 and a half years now with an ectopic pregnancy 4 and a half years ago which resulted in one of my fallopian tubes being removed. Been trying ever since with a couple of chemical pregnancies on the way. We did start to get checked out a few years ago and my husbands count all came back fine. but we stopped as we felt it was a bit too stressful. I've now decided that I'm gonna go back to the drs and get the ball rolling. I'm also gonna start temping as soon as i can get a thermometer. looking forward to chatting with you all

Welcome Amelia Jane! (what a pretty name)
Nothing to report for me - CD18 and no peaks (which I understand is quite normal) on my CBFM so want to get on and start with my next AF!
Hope everyone has a fab weekend
