Trying to conceive

So earlier this month, my husband and I had a bit of an 'ooops' moment...long story short; I ended up taking the morning after pill after a quick panic! Whilst we've known each other since we were at high school (been together over 10 years) we've not been married long and we hadn't had the proper "Baby Chat" yet - though we had always been open about wanting kiddies in the future. Realistically, we are in a great place to start thinking about growing our family - we both have very solid jobs, have bought our own house and our partying days are fading away quickly! Anyway...it must have got us both thinking/regretting because it turns out we had both been thinking about how much we would really would love a little one to join our family, and we had a huge talk the other night and we've decided to give it a whirl! It's not your usual way of deciding to TTC I know...but the decision now feels so right, and I'm now 100% certain about what we both want.
Given I took the MAP this month, I've written this cycle off as I'm aware my AF is going to be a bit haywire this month. So next month will be our first month TTC - any advice for a newbie to this game?? Is there anything you'd suggest reading up on or buying??
Hubby and I are both 26. Non-smokers. I've been off bc for the last 2 years (we've been using condoms since).

Just have fun and enjoy trying. Don't think about it too much as it can get stressful and it doesn't help. My oh and I are 26 and have been trying for 15months but that's all down to the pill messing up my cycles. I would start now as youve been off bc a while hopefully it won't take you long good luck?

Your partner would benefit from a multivitamin and folic and Start taking your folic acid hun so when you do catch on you know you've already given baby the best start and track your periods best to get one of the apps on your phone so you can keep track for when you do try trying harder and I'd say just try normal as long as you feel like it but when you start to get impatient then you can think about temping or Ovulation test xxx
