Trying to conceive

So I'm getting married next March (2014) and have been told by my hair dresser to start taking hair and nail supplements to get my hair ready for the big day. I started taking them today and decided to have a read up about them online and found this...
Most hair, skin and nail vitamin blends contain vitamin A. As the New York Times explains, this is because vitamin A helps to build and strengthen your skin and other soft and skeletal tissues. However, The New York Times also notes that it is possible to overdose on vitamin A, and the consequences may be severe birth defects. For this reason, you may want to limit your intake of foods high in vitamin A while using a hair, skin and nail vitamin. Good sources of vitamin A include eggs, cheese, carrots, sweet potatoes and most dark, green leafy vegetables such as spinach.
Although we aren't intending to start trying until October 2014 I have already started cutting out certain fish and trying to get on the mommy to be band wagon so its easier later down the line. So I'm sure you can see my concern with having found and read this. Has anyone else heard anything like this before ? And do you think if I stop right after my wedding that my body will be flushed by then so this won't be a problem ?
