Trying to conceive

Hi all. A bit of background info... I have been tracking my periods for the last 1 year out of curiosity. Prior to this I just "allowed" my body to let me know whenever my period was due as I'd get all the tell tale signs leading up to AF - my breasts would swell up (no soreness), bloating, cramps, back pain, the usual. I always had the assumption my periods were every 28 days. Since I started to track them they have been different every month (30, 30, 29, 26, 29, 29, 31, 29, 31, 33, 27, 26, 32).
Anyway, I have wanted a baby for many years now. I am in a very healthy and happy marriage of 6 years (I am 28) and a couple of months ago my husband decided we weren't going to be so "careful" anymore and see what happens. I didn't really want to stress my body out in the 1st month and didn't track anything or take it too seriously - and so we just BD'd whenever the mood took us. Needless to say I got my AF later that month and I thought I'd try and time it better this time around.
I haven't used ovulation sticks but I have bought some for my next cycle (if this cycle doesn't work out). Because AF seems to differ every month it's hard to track it manually however we BD'd on CD9, 12, 14 (I thought I had ovulation pains that day on my right side as I had ovary pains for a few hours which is normal for me), 21 and 25. (I am aware we should be doing it a lot more often and I surely will next month if this cycle is definitely out!!).
I did a home pregnancy test on CD26 out of curiosity and had a BFN and was certain I wasn't pregnant and I told myself I wouldn't let myself take another test only to be disappointed again. I am now on CD31 and still no signs of AF. I did have some period-like cramping a few days ago but nothing the last 2 days. As you will see above I have had AF come on day 32 and 33 so I suppose it could still come.
I was wondering if anyone has been in a certain situation and been pregnant? Do you think I should do another test? Or should I wait another 2-3 days and see what happens? I don't feel pregnant or any different in myself.

Wait until you are passed your longest cycle and if nothing then test again. Good luck
