I was wondering does the drop in my chart mean that i have ovulated already or am due to ovulate soon?

To my knowledge ovulation is confirmed as having occurred if there is a continuous temperature rise for 3 following days. I'm sure one of the others will correct me if I'm wrong :-)

Yes, I would be quite sure you have ovulated. Either the Monday or the Tuesday - my guess is the Monday, I believe another high temp tomorrow will confirm that for definite for you.
Is this your first chart? If yes, don't worry cos it's just FF getting to 'know' you. With each cycle you do, it gets better at predicting your cycle.
Also, because you have all your opk's at negative, this will give you a dotted line plus it's also why FF hasn't put your crosshairs on today for you. OPKs never go positive for me - I reckon I have a quick surge of LH so the opks miss it - you could be similar.
Your pre-ov temps are very high though..... Were you drinking or anything that could cause a high temp? Normally my pre-ov temps are lower than my post ov...

Thanks ladies...it's my second chart my first one said that i ovulated on cd24!!!
I thought my pre-ov temps were high as well! When you say drinking do you mean alcohol because i would have been because we were away that weekend so consumed an awful lot of alcohol that weekend!

And how long was your first cycle? how many days from ov day to next AF?
I could still be wrong but that kind of curve is usually consistent with ov.
When I say drinking yes, i mean alcohol - it can cause a spike of .4 - I used to avoid alcohol around ov so I could accurately pinpoint ov but these days I just discard the temps or note it on my chart.
I'll find some of my charts & flash them for you.

It was 30 days so only 6 days between ov and AF! I only came off my pill in January so i think my body is still trying to figure out what is going on!
I hope you are right and that i ovulated on Monday as we dtd then and we didn't on tuesday which would be typical!
Ahhh right i did wonder why it was so high to be honest so that could be my answer!
Thank you that would be great to see some sample graphs! FF is still telling me that my predicted ovulation days are this weekend but i am guessing they are basing that off my previous charting?!

I could be quite sure that you didn't have an LP of only 6 days. LP is Luteal Phase and is typically 12-14 days - it's the time between ovulation and your next AF. I could be wrong as there is such a thing as Luteal Phase deficiency so I'd keep an eye on this next cycle.
Yes - FF will guess your ov dates based on your previous charts so I would ignore that. continue to DTD every 2-3 days if you can anyway, just in case.
Can you flash me your last chart? If you want, have a p[lay with your chart and put in a high temp for tomorrow and see if it puts in the crosshair? It may not but it's worth a try!

I did read that...i'm hoping maybe my body just still hasn't reverted back to normal until maybe this month!
I did have a play around and put in a high temp for tomorrow and then on Saturday and the cross hair said i ovulated on Tuesday so we shall see!
This is last month's chart....very up & down!
Here's some charts from me:
1. My first one - FF guessed CD14 for ov but I later worked out it was CD11 - My LP is almost always 12 days whereas FF thought it was 9 the first time & really frightened me!
2. One from when I tried to use the Clearblue Fertility Monitor
3. A more recent one - I didn't bother charting the beginning of the cycle here as I already know as much about my body as I'm ever going to!
If you get the VIP option on FF, you get the Pregnancy Monitor which I love - it appeals to my data nerd type!

Thank you so much Tayto, it is so useful to see someone else's charts! I'm hoping i'll start to figure out my body soon enough and what is going on! I have the VIP section of FF so will keep an eye on the pregnancy monitor once FF has figured out what is going on!

It's normal for the first chart to be up and down so don't worry! I do see the open circles for some of the pre-ov temps so that might explain why FF has a hard time guessing your ov date. My guess is that for the first cycle, you probably ovulated around CD17 or CD18 and the dip on CD21 was the corpus luteum breaking down. Ovulating on CD12 (current cycle) compared to CD17 on your first one is a bit of a jump though so I could be wrong. I think the earliest I've ever ov'ed was CD10 and the latest was CD16 so it is possible. Ovulation can be delayed due to anxiety/stress/travel & lots of other factors.
Over time you will get better at waking at the same time every morning so that will remove the margin of error that's there now. I set my alarm for 6AM every morning (even weekends) and I just go back to sleep if I'm not required to be up. If I do drink, I just note it on the notes & the specific data but I wait until ov is confirmed before discarding the temp. Painkillers lower my temp so it's worth noting if you take them too.
These first few cycles will be crucial so it's worth noting as much as you can as that will help in the long run. Best of luck xx

Not to de-rail the thread but I've just realised that last cycle was my last chance to have a 2015 baby
