Im new to this, so please be nice lol.
I was on the pill Microgynon 30 for about 11 years and new doctor sugguested to come off it for a while and use a different method. No reason everything was fine just to give my body a break. I used the patch for about a year and have recently gone back onto the Micro pill (about 6 months ago)
We have recently got married and have decided we want to TTC within the next 6 months. I know this might sound really silly. But ive heard that you need to give your body a break from the pill for about a month before tyrying. _ Is this right.
I would say come Jan we want to start trying, but i dont know when to come off the pill. But at the same time i dont want to put to many hormons into my body and for it to take longer to FP.
Any advice would be great thanks

I'm new to it all too, and am looking at around January to start trying too
Women generally find they have a bit of a fertility boost when they come off the pill, which makes it a great time for TTC'ing. I don't believe there's much any need to be off the pill for a certain time before trying these days (I studied family planning as part of my uni course, but this was a wee while ago!).
Having said that, I came off the pill a few months ago because I wanted to get to know my cycles before TTC'ing. I've started taking folic acid too (maybe a bit keen I know!).

Nurse advised me that theres no need to have a break before TTC, she said can come off and start trying straight away but yeah you can get pregnant straight away
