Trying to conceive

Just thought I would pop in and say hello to you all. I haven't been here for the best part of a year, not many 'faces' that i recognise anymore but I'd like to start posting again. I was on Hitched in 2011/2012.
D and I have made the tentative first few steps towards beginning our TTC journey. Not actually trying yet but considering some things we need to do first such as Doctor appointments and stuff. So i'll probably be around asking some questions over the next few months!

Hi both, thanks for your welcome and replies.
Bit of background on us:
I'm 26, D is 25 (nearly 26) and we've been married 2.5 years. We will have been together 8yrs on saturday! Have a cat who is the love of my life :)
I have PCOS, confirmed with scans and collection of other symptoms in Jan 2013. Blood hormone levels at top end of normal, with only one abnormality detected (can't remember which one). Possibly also insulin resistant but not diabetic. As a result, I find losing weight hard and am classed as 'morbidly obese' :( Had no treatment and no referrals, nor been offered any. Also have long term mental health condition and am on medication for this.
Decided we were going to wait till 2016 to try but the more we chat the more broody we're getting. So we're going to talk to GP soon about my medication and also about whether the PCOS needs any treatment before we TTC.
Despite wishing and hoping this will be a short journey, we're prepared for the long haul I think.

Don't be disheartened because of the PCOS you sounds very similar to me! (Are you me?!) Haha
I am also 26, with PCOS, Also suffering with excessive weight! (Currently on SW) There is a weight loss board if you wish to join some of us :)!
I have had no medical treatment for my PCOS for a long time (I did back when I was diagnosed at 17.) As you can see I have been pregnant twice, Which have sadly ended early but nothing to do with my PCOS.
I took a vitamin supplement which has helped get me pregnant both times, before that I had 3 years of unprotected sex with H and no sign of a BFP.
Fingers crossed for you :)

I'm trying not to let the PCOS rule our decisions too much. We were devastated when we first found out two years ago, but its just become a fact of life for us now being able to put a name to why I have weird cycles and find losing weight hard. The weight nurse at my GP isn't quite as supportive about it so I refuse to see her anymore.

Oh I don't blame you!
I wouldn't go and see her either!
