Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

Hi! SO, I know that the realistic thing to do would be to wait or go and get a FRER test which I will do in a couple of days but for the moment I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else.....
I purchase a bunch of online cheapie hpt's and have been taking one or two a day since 7 dpo. I "think" I am about 11dpo and litereally EVERY single test I have taken there is no line really visible unless I hold it up to a light or on a window ledge. Then there it is....a line. Anyone ever have this happen? Is that what an evap line is?
Thank you and I send lots and lots of baby dust to everyone trying xx

Depends on the test you're using, FRER (and make sure it is the early response one, I've made that mistake) would rarely give an evaporation line.
I had a fairly clear line on an internet cheapie by 11dpo but it depends on the sensitivity and your own body.
Evap lines are generally grey or clear, depending on the test you're using a genuine line would be pink or blue x

I think these are about 7dpo and are the first lines I had on a FRER. With my DD in 2010 You can see they have colour to them, which evaps don't usually. Try www.canyouseealine.com for comparisons!

I wouldn't recommend Internet cheapies, I had a pregnant 2-3 on cbd which are known for not being very sensitive and was only getting evap type lines on supposedly 10miu cheapies. Not reliable in my opinion! X

As frustrating as it is the CBD tests are slightly less sensitive for a reason. It is to be as sure as possible and to avoid the odd chemical pregnancy.
It is a nightmare in the two week wait but the truth is if you really ate pregnant you wwill know. I didn't get a bfp until 15dpo and that is quite early really. You can save lots of cash too by waiting for af and then testing. when you test early the chances are that if its negative you would say its too early and do another one when af is due.
Why do we do it to ourselves???
having said all this I am sure I will be obsessing just the same in a few months.
For your own sanity see if you can have a break from testing. That way you can afford the slightly more reliable tests too.
Best of luck xxx

Forgot I mention that you shouldn't need to hold it up to the light to see the line.
The line should have some colour

I have to disagree on the Internet cheapies. I found them better than others I used (I tested a lot after my bfp)
The others are right though, you're very early and it's easier said than done but try not to obsess. I agree agree that you shouldn't need to hold a test to the light to see a positive too by the way x

for this pregnancy all of my tests were very very faint...like they looked like they were barely there at all unless you looked REALLY closely you wouldnt even have seen them, and that was one week after my period was due so should have been showing up clearer by then.
i have had previous pregnancies which resulted in mcs (7wks, 5wks and 11wks) and my tests for those always seemed to show up far clearer than this time...
i always use either tesco boots or superdrug tests, this time i am 19 weeks so things seem to be going better this time! xx
