I know this has probably been said a million times but I just need clarity....what is the 'norm' with CM before, during and after ovulation?
My cycle isn't 'normal' by any stretch of the imagination since stopping the pill in May, however I have always suffered with CM but I have been kinda noticing the change in it now I am looking for it. My af finished on Tues 27th and since then everyday I have had creamy CM, quite a lot really where I have had to change a pantyliner half way through the day...however today there is barely anything there and I am now guessing from my usualy cycles that it will go clear and then return to creamy again before af is due. At what stage would ovulation occur?

Hi, Ang!! Regarding cm as far as I know, ovulation should occur at the last day you notice ewcm. And women usually get a creamier mucus when they are not fertile. However, this can be tricky and is not the only sign that you had ovulated. Some women get pregnant without noticing elastic mucus and others get it right before af too. The temps plus cm plus opk if possible can help you predict ovulation better.
I am very regular on my cycles and not getting a lot of cm lately. This month, though, I am noticing an increase in ewcm after I am supposed to have ovulated. I am 3 dpo today an yesterday had this large patch of ewcm. Just strange. I hope I am not having late ovulation.
Are you temping? Do you usually notice ewcm around the middle of your cycles? Best of luck and lots of baby dust to you!

Thanks for the reply! I am not temping as I wanted a slightly less stressful/demanding approach on the baby making but I am doing OPK's this month. I usually get creamy cm straight after af, then it seems to go quite dry, then it goes clear and then it goes creamy again just before af.
It is all very confusing haha! My May, June and July cycles were all 35 days long but my August cycle was 41 days so as you can imagine I really don't know what this months is going to be...I am on CD15 today so probably not quite half way through my cycle yet but it seems to dry today so guessing my next stint will be clear but will keep an eye on it x

Hope you're ok!
I got really worked up about CM - I swear I had it but never looked at it so much as when I TTC!!
So, mine was either non or creamy to be honest and last month I got my BFP.... the month before I had clear stretchy CM (which apparently is the most fertile and didn't catch) weird! I think watery/clear is fertile and creamy less fertile and strcth is the most fertile!!
Just to clarify last month mine was watery and clear/cream coloured never stretchy!
Hope this makes sense xx
