Just thoguht i'd say hi as i'm new to the site.
i've been slightly addicted to you and your wedding forum until i got married at the start of april (and if i'm honest still go on there a fair bit!) thought i'd make the move to the baby forums as we are planning to start trying v soon!
i'm crrently doing primary teacher training so we plan to start trying when my course finishes at the end of June. originally we said august/september so i'd defiatelybe able to work a year before having a baby but we're just too impatient!
anyway, looking forward to chatting with you ladies

Hi I'm a qualified primary teacher too. I have one lo who is 17 months (got pg at end of my course and just haven't bought myself to leave him prop yet hence stiil a teacher 2b lol) and hoping to start ttc no2 towards the end of the year. Am hoping to get a job for Sept but no luck yet =( which would mean I'd get my NQT year out the way b4 no2 arrives.

Wow are we all teachers? I'm a teacher too. Are you not better getting your NQT year out the road first? I think its different in England mind you (I'm in scotland) because you only really get 1 year to do it or it gets complicated. i am going to start TTC in September too, as a lot of us are.

    hello everyone *waves*
sorry for the slow reply, have been stupidly busy over the last few days (seeing as most of you seem to be teachers i'm sure you can understand end of PGCE stress!) i can't believe so many people on here are teachers!
becci boo its good to know i'm not the only one who's being slightly irrational and putting babies before finishing my training! lol
lomon cupcake, it probably would make more sense to get my NQT year out of the way first, but there are other reasons i'm not gonig straight into teaching - i'm having a bit of a career crisis at the moment and wouldn't be going it to teaching straight away regardless of the baby situation. plus i think it must be different here coz i had heard you have 3 years to do your NQT year after qualifying, but i looked on the TDA website and it says there isn't a time limit but you might have to do a bit of a booster if you've been out of it too long - and that suits me fine at the moment!
hopefulmummytobe I think i recognise your pic from yayw, how are the wedding plans coming along? and baby gaga when do you get married?

Cookies and cream once you've started ur nqt year you have to complete it within 3 years but when I last checked there wasn't a time limit on starting it. Could have changed since tho lol.
I am now rather worried about doing it as been out so long and thinking of doing ta work for awhile just to boost my confidence in the classroom again.
