So I've noticed a few threads away from TTC, and maybe I'm breaking the rules and should be posting on OT but it's so nice to have a bit of light releif over here, so I thought I'd add another OT topic.
So who's having a jolly this year, weekend break, general time off to do bugger all?
We have just booked a week to Lanzarote, H and I haven't had a sun holiday since 2006, we've been away but not really relaxed so we are very much looking forward to doing bugger all and having some chill time :)

No holiday for me this year.. Got a few wedding's to go too this year... Yours sounds lovely :)
I think anything goes... its too quiet here :) so anything to get the board moving :)

No holiday for us as we are awaiting a little one being placed!

Good topic Claire! Always nice to talk about holidays when it's raining outside.
Lanzarote sounds lovely - it's nice to have a holiday to just chill. H and I tend to try to pack lots of stuff in and then end up back at home exhausted!
Our plans are Malta - H will do his diving and I will chill and do some spa treatments. Maybe a wee bit of touristy stuff but only a wee bit.
Oh very nice CC.
I thought so too, I think it will also encourage newbies to get a bit more involved, we can only try. Well done for getting the ball rolling though!

Tayto - That sounds like a plan ;)
I am hoping so :)..I love our little community :)

I have to admit I am guilty of not posting that much but only because I'm a DTTCer but there's no reason I can't get a bit more involved and so I will make much more of an effort in future.
I hope so :D Its nice too see everyone :) and support everyone :)

Great topic, some lovely holdays here too :-)
We are off to Italy in June I cannot wait, it is keeping me going at the moment. We might have another hol later in the year as well.

I love Italy Lu, where exactly in Italy are you going? We went to Lake Garda a few years ago and it was beautiful!

We are going to the Amalfi Coast! I'm so excited it's meant to be lovely.
I've been to Como but not Lake Garda that is on my list lol!

How lovely Lu, we have done Northern Italy mostly but are definitely looking to explore more. I think next time we might try the South,

Nothing to extravagant for us this year after honeymoon last year. My parents have a holiday cottage in north wales so we are heading there for a week straight after a few days camping at a festival. Hoping it doesn't rain for either as it will be a very soggy 10 days!

We're jetsetters this year! Just done NYC, Atlantic City and Philly. In July we're going to Sardinia with my in-laws which will be lovely, August we have a wedding in Vilnius and then September we're going to have a break in London to see friends, although that's not booked yet. So excited about all of them!

ousy year for you enjayee!
Another one going to italy, we're going to lake garda for a week in september. Where did you stay when you went claire_lou52?

Enjay you definitely win!
Lzpop we stayed in Sirmione which is gorgeous, we went September time too, and the weather was fab! It rained the night we arrived which, and the day we left but in between was beautiful. I would highly recommend boat hopping between the various towns, we visited Gardone which was lovely, Garda, and a must is Malcesine, we took a cable car to the top of the mountain and the views were breath taking, if you get a clear day then you are in for a treat.
