How is everyone going with their diets?

Im plodding along and shifting tiny amounts of weight. Havent got round to joining the gym yet, but i have been doing half an hour clubland work out video a day!!!

Still having yogurt for breakfast, cup a soup for lunch and trying to be healthy at tea time but hubby often has me eating the same as him-it doesnt take much to convince me!!!! So that is when im at my naughtiest!!

    How is everyone else going?

    Hi HomeFairy,

Am not on a diet as such just trying to eat less crap and eat my 5 a day.

Are you supposed to stop drinking tea?? I will have to buy decaf tomorrow Is that bad of me I havent been thinking of these things until now?

What products have caffeine in them and what are you supposed to give up apart from the obvious drinking, smoking etc not that I smoke and am not a big drinker either!!

i dont have fizzy juice anyway but when you are preg caffeine is not too good for you.

im totally obsessed over wanting a BFP so im trying eveything there is.

Im more of a savoury person than sweet, so i dont have sugar in my tea and ive switched to decaf twinings breakfast tea.

    Hello all

I hope you don't mind me gatecrashing! I have visited this forum for a while, but never posted so this is my first one :0)

Me and my hubby are TTC. I've heard that weight watchers is a good diet to be on as the current plan encourages healthy eating. I lost 2.5 stone last year to bring my BMI down to "healthy", since my MC in October I put a little bit on (about half a stone.) Now we are TTC again I'm back on the healthy eating wagon and lost 4lb last week!!!!

Same as you all, the purpose for me is to get my body into tip top condition ready for baby bump :0)

    Good luck everyone xx

We'll I'm at the other end of things, trying to put weight on following an eating crisis. However, I didn't want to just eat cr@p which was higher in calories in order to do it quickly.

In Feb of this last year I was 7st (I'm 5'7ish) and very ill looking, but through eating healthily (but just lots of it!) I made my way up to 9st over the course of about 12 months.

As well as getting my weight up, I've given up alcohol and restricted coffee to the occasional decaffeinate from a coffee shop. I also don't really drink fizzy drinks, and stopped drinking tea and the tannin restricts your bodies ability to absorb iron.

Now, I'm a vegan so that's the biggest thing to think about. I'm very careful about taking an omega oil, getting my b-vits through fortified foods and calcium through leafy greens, legumes and fortified non-dairy drinks.

I'm recently finished a college course in nutrition and health, and I've learned so much. It's such a complex subject!

thats great you've been going so well, im sure your course prob helped as well.

I never knew that about tannin, i have to take iron caps or else i feel really ill and taste metallic all the time.

My diet is going suprisingly well! Im currently eating porridge every morning followed by a sandwich at lunch and a salad or veg in the evening. Its getting a bit boring now but Im sure it will be worth it. Have decided to think positively and have decided that even if I dont get pregnant I will be getting into that swimsuit this summer!
Have also given up the tea and coffee as I see many of you ladies have!
Im so pleased that your all doing so well!
