It's been over a year so we have booked a doctors appointment for next week. What kind of things will they need to know/ask?

Can't help you with what the dr will need to know/ask but just wanted to say very good luck and give you a big hug x

The first GP appointment it is helpful if you can attend together as there may be questions and tests to sort for both of you.
For you: They will ask about your cycles, if they are regular or not, what your periods are like, if you have tried to track ovulation at all (by natural signs like EWCM), if you are taking folic acid, you may be weighed, height taken etc
For him: Has he ever had any issues ejaculating or testicular trauma, does he try and keep his bits cool etc.
For both: How often do you have sex, have either of you any previous children or pregnancies, have either of you had any STIs.
They might not ask all of those, but they are the questions we have been asked in the past. You will most likely be sent away with more blood tests for you on day 3 and if you have a regular cycle on day 21 (or 7 days post ov). You may be referred for an ultrasound if they suspect PCOS. For him he will be given a sample pot to take away or a form and instructions for how to arrange his semen analysis (he won't have to do it there and then as it needs to be given a slot to be analysed in the lab, and then 'produced' about an hour before hand).

Thanks ducky. That's very helpful. We can answer all that, but it helps to know the answer if you see what I mean rather than trying to think about it on the spot. Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I'll let you know how it goes.

That's good OB, I hope that they are helpful and can start planning things for you. I'm hoping that for us it will at least start things in motion, even if we end up having lots of tests and stuff, at least I'll feel like something is happening.
