I'm not sure if this discussion is still going on...
But I'm in the exact same boat. I have a common-law partner and we have two girls together (4&2). I have always wanted three children. Always. But my partner and I got together later in life and I compromised. I knew he didn't really want children. But we have two now and he loves them to bits. He's a good, hands-on dad. I know he would love to have a son. And even another daughter he would love...of course.
But he's pretty adamant that we are done. He says it's too stressful and I'm too old (I'm 40). I totally don't agree and almost feel desperate to have another child. I think about it every day. Every day!! I don't know how to convince him and I don't know how to get over the resentment if he doesn't say yes.
Any advice? What happened to the people in this post?
