This board is very quiet apart from our daily ttc thread.. wondering if we can think of some topics to post about?
Counter inspired this on baby talk.... Wondering if we can do the same..Maybe like a question and answer thing? where we can ask our questions on a topic and others can use their knowledge to try and answer?
So maybe we can have an idea board of what we can cover?
Importance of taking folic acid.
Other vitamins that are important.
PCOS and ttc
I think our new member is going to do a post on underactive thyroid when she's got her results :)
Common pregnancy symptoms
anyone else think of anything?

I saw the thread on baby talk yesterday and was going to reply to say we should have some ttc related threads but I forgot lol!
Maybe temping and opks? How to cope during the tww I'd like some advice on that lol!

Sounds like a plan to me!.. Hope some of the other ladies will join in and we can decide which to do first.. maybe one a week?

I can help with underactive thyroid stuff as I got diagnosed after having N and am being kept an eye on by the obstetric team with no.2.

Oh LLL that would be fab thank you :D!

I don't tend to look at the ttc board as much now but any info I can help with I will gladly share. Quite happy to tell my story or even just give info on being pregnant with an underactive thyroid and my previous mc.

Lovely.. When we do that one I will Pm you on here... to try getting your attention it's very kind of you :)

Great idea CC. One a week sounds good with me.
Some ideas from me:
Diet & Alcohol when TTC'ing
Common myths about TTC (like 28day cycles or just plain old wives tales!)
Financial cost of TTC
Tests that docs do when TTC'ing for a long time & what they mean (like CD21 bloods, etc)
IVF & other fertility treatments
Charting Techniques (BBT, fertility monitor, ferning, examining CM, etc)
Using Fertility Friend - useful hints & tips about it
Fertility books review
What DPO did other MD members get their BFP - (maybe x-post on BT so we get more responses!)
30/04/2014 at 13:44
CC - might be worth pasting a link to these new topics on BT and ask the ladies on there to pop over here with their advice? Just so we can keep the responses on the same thread. We can try it maybe for the first couple and see how we get on?
30/04/2014 at 13:46
Sounds like a good idea... Will add them to my list on the pc.. Thanks ladies..
:) Will start a poll on another thread and the one that gets most votes will be our starter thread for monday!
30/04/2014 at 13:48
Oh and some more:
A rant thread - where we can just whinge about the problems when TTC'ing - no pressure for responses - just a hormone fuelled rant!
A funny pictures thread on TTC stuff - like those some-ecards that have funny TTC stuff on them or the one that was posted on here a few weeks ago the 'Keep Calm During the 2WW'
I'm on a roll I think.... Wonder why I'm not quite so productive at work today.....
30/04/2014 at 13:50
Haha well we can start a rant thread - I can ask sarah it it's alright to pin that one :)
30/04/2014 at 13:58
Can we pm now then?
A poll for which one we should start with mumdrum.com/.../17538.aspx
30/04/2014 at 14:13
Nice one CC, I'll vote on that poll in a minute.
Another idea - you know the New Members - Top tips and abbreviations thread? What about we use that to post the link to the weekly topic? I like the idea of new members being able to see the threads and keep bumping them with their questions/advice to keep the forum fresh? Basically, every time someone starts the weekly discussion thread, they'll reply to the new members thread with the subject matter and a link to the post. Also keeps the stuff in the one place - yeah, I'm an organisational freak....!

Sounds like a very good idea and can be a useful source of information!
30/04/2014 at 14:26
Great ideas tayto you are on a roll! I was also just thinking a funny pics or a thread to cheer us all up on bad days.
30/04/2014 at 14:45

Yeah, I'm good for one day a month - this is it at it's best I'm afraid!
