How do you plan how much money you need before your baby is born and how much you will need afterwards?
We currently save around 400-600 per month. So based on savings of 400 per month for the 9 months of pregnancy we should have saved £3,600.
Is this enough? How do you know what you will need to have when on maternity leave etc?

I will get weeks at 90% so will get around 276 per week (before tax) for 9 weeks and the rest is at SMP with is 135?
I really don't know how you work it out etc (

Sadly you can never truly 'budget' as costs will vary all the time. The superstores will have 'baby events' throughout the year where needed items will become cheaper for a number of weeks (nappies, wipes, formula, jars, etc...) & if you aren't already registered to the parent & baby clubs it is a good idea to sign up (Pampers vouchers, Tesco Clubcard vouchers, Sainsbury Nectar card all help with those costs).
