Never thought I'd be so excited about ovulation - but I got two lines on my stick tonight and haven't been able to stop looking at it !!! Goodness knows what I'll be like when I get a BFP !!!

Anyway - a couple of questions.

    (1) - can you get a false +ive ? I know you can't on a HPT but wasn't sure about OPKs.

    (2) - do they normally show +ive when you are ov'ing or can it be the lead up? I was expecting (or maybe rather hoping) to ov today so it would make sense ...

    Thanks girls !

So excited !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know its not for sure that I will get a BFP this month - but it's half the battle won right ?

Yay, me too! Feels fab doesn't it? And silly me, I was just telling hubby he had the night off when he looked at the instructions and pointed out I had the lines the wrong way round! So BDing again tonight!
I'm pretty sure you can't get a false positive unless you have PCOS and even then it is quite unlikely.
A positive means you will OV in the next 24-36 hours, so probably tomorrow or Thursday. Which means tonight is probably best chance statistically speaking...Have fun hon! We'll probably be in our 2WW at the same time so will keep an eye out for your posts.

Good think DH has just got home then ay! I've told him he can make himself a quick sandwich and then we'll be having an early night ! LOL! We've been bd'ing for the last 6 days so a couple more days and I'm hoping we'll have cracked it ! So excited !!! It's going to be a long two weeks ! So glad I've got someone to share it with.

Also - I've had a really bad pain for the last hour or so - am hoping its ov pain - its in the right place - yippee !

Hi, yeah aftter last month when I completely missed the surge, they worked this month, so happy to. I had 2 same colour lines on cd9, the second line stronger and darker on cd10 and the two lines were still there on cd12, have not looked this. Ov has now passed, boobs don't hurt!, get bd'. We managed 4 in two days, cd11 and cd12 hopefully right in middle of ovulation. Oh and a quickie on cd9. Feels much more positive this month. Good luck.

I'm not planning on using my sticks again now - just going to keep bd'ing till my temp rises ... we've had a go every day since CD9 (today is CD16) so I think we deserve a BFP for effort if nothing else !
