Hi Susie. Lovely to see you again. I often thought about you whilst you were taking a break. (I hope that's not too weird!) Good news that you have an apt. And your trip to oz will be fab. X

Here's hoping you get a lil Oz baby Suzie!! (if not before ;) ) -big hug- x
05/01/2014 at 20:53
I think about you often too Suzie. I'm also wishing for an Oz baby xx

I'm really going to try and post more on here - so glad you started this thread! Glad all your tests came back ok. How long till oz?
Here it's the 2ww. 9dpo. Sitting on my hands so I don't test. We have a weekend in Edinburgh to watch the rugby and a few days in Dublin in February so counting down to that.
Hello everyone else!

Hi all, hope its ok to post here as well as ttc, been ttc no 2 for 5 and a hslf years now with an ectopic in between. Weve decided to give ttc one more go so ive started temping this week and if it doesnt happen in a couple of months gonna go back to the drs (we did start the ball rolling but it got a bit stressful so took a step back)

Thank you everybody for thinking of me. I must admit it has helped taking a backstep from it all, i sometimes have to remind myself what CD i am!
We were obviously very happy that everything came back ok, , i am struggling on the metformin tablets at the moment, feeling very sickly and loss of hunger, not a bad thing tho hey! My cycles seemed to have settled down to 30day ones, which is a big change from 40-42 which we and the doctors are very happy about! I think they may be thinking along the likes of PCOS, but im not sure how that works if my cycles are pretty normal.
We fly out to OZ on 8th March, it can not come quick enough!!
glitterball - hi lovely :) Sounds like a couple of nice treats away! I have been sitting on my hands too, i'm due today or tomorrow!
Amelia Jane - welcome! So sorry to hear youve been ttc for your 2nd for so long an that youve had an eptopic! Get yourself to the doctors and i have everything crossed your not here for long!
07/01/2014 at 21:04
Suzie - glad your test results are all ok. Sorry the drugs aren't agreeing with you though. Such good news about your cycles tho.
Oz will be here before you know it. How exciting. Where in oz is it you are going? I've been to Sydney, ayres rock and cairns. Loved it!
Amelia Jane - hello! Sorry it's taking so long - might be worth going to the docs and get the ball rolling. Hope your time here is brief.
AFM - 11dpo. I caved tonight and tested BFN. Not surprised but I have had every symptom going this week - including what I thought was implantation cramps on 8 and 9 dpo. Not due till Thursday so guess there's still a chance..not hopeful though. Work is mental so counting down to our break in Edinburgh. Four weeks to go... X

Hey girls. Not been on here in a while. Those who don't know me - been TTC for 16 months in total, with 2 miscarriages in between as per my signature.
CD2 of my first cycle since the most recent MC. Its not too bad, I was expecting terrible pains etc but its manageable.
Booked my 21 day bloods in today which are on 31st Jan. Feeling a bit more positive about stuff and am starting to plan things in to look forward to and try my best to stop obsessing about having a baby.
Hi to everyone else and I hope to post a bit more often. Perhaps not every day but will check in x

Suzie- Nice to see you back! I also had a HyCoSy recently (not the most pleasant experience but not as bad as I was expecting) and also started metformin recently! How have you been finding it?
Glitterball- Fingers crossed the end of the two week wait bring good news!
Amelia Jane- Hello! Hopefully things start to move along in the right way for you.
Rod- Very pleased to hear that things haven't been as painful as you were expecting.
AFM, cycle one of letrozole seems to be coming to an end. I'm 14 DPO and after two days of AF type cramping on and off, I've got some spotting and cramps are worsening. I guess tomorrow will be CD1. I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit gutted. But I am trying to think of all the positives from this cycle. The cycle has only been 32 days (a huge improvement from my last which was 192), I ovulated (first time ever), I had no symptoms to speak of when on the meds, and I seem to be having AF naturally so no need for norethisterone to bring it on. Hopefully this cycle we will be more lucky.

GB – we are going to Melbourne for the Grand Prix, which is where my family are based. We are going to Sydney for a few days in the middle, and a couple of days in Singapore on the way back. Very exciting stuff!
Rod – Really sorry to see you back here, Im not here very often so come and go as you please. You know where I am if you need a chat xx
Mac – I am really struggling on the Metformin, its making me very sick and hate having the constant sickness feeling – I am starting to take the 3 tablets a day as I was told to work upto 3 a day, so I am expecting to get worse before it eases off. Did you get on with it ok?
Well af turned up on Tuesday, fully expect though as my HyCoSy was the day before I ovulated! Now that my cycles are pretty regular (ive had 3 x 30 day ones), I am glad that I am not having to cover such a big time scale with DTD just incase.
We are also now thinking about a holiday in January/February time (obv it will not be booked until later in the year for obvious possible reasons!)

Hi everyone, been ages since i've posted in MTTC but thats cos there's been nothing to report. Not got 2014 off to a good TTC start, as AF has been awol for about 30 days, looks like i'm back to square one with no cycle to speak of. I know i have to get my weight under control and that is my own fault. Good Luck everyone!

JJ - i am really hoping it settles down, it is horrible. I have got to take them until April at the moment, we will see how it goes. Im not sure what will happen after then, whether i will be kept on it or what, he didnt really say, he just gave it me after my hycosy. I have not been told i have PCOS so i guess he is just trying to see how it goes with me.
Hey TT - big sloppy kisses for you!
11/01/2014 at 15:45
Rod - hope you are ok - we are booking lots of nice things too to take our minds off it all.
Mac Girl - sorry you are expecting CD1 but glad your cycles seem to be sorting themselves out. Fingers crossed.
Suzie - that trip sounds fab. Bet you are really excited! Sorry the drugs are making you feel so poorly. Could you ask the docs for some anti sickness drugs to get through it?
JJ - hello!
TinyTiggs sorry it's not a good start.
AFM - CD3. After a bit of a wobble I've decided I'm ok about it. We are going back to docs end of the month. If we can't get anywhere there we are strongly considering going private for IVF. H has poor sperm motility so we are lucky to have ever conceived twice but that's taken two years. Time is not on my side so we are going to look at our options. In the meantime we are just going to have a lovely time the two of us. Because that's how it might always be.
Hope everyone has lovely weekends!
11/01/2014 at 21:09
GB - i am going to stick it out and give the 3 tablets a day a few days and see if it settles down. If not i will see a doctor, i cant continue to feel like this for that long, especially if im away too.
Glad that you are feeling ok about things, well as ok as you can be. I really hope you can manage to enjoy some time together xx
So not much to say from me, OH is poorly, he has bronchitis so i am busy looking after him.
Im actually really strugging at the moment with the fact my baby should be turning 1 soon, i feel so crazy and stupid to be thinking that, its just the little things like that, that get to me. And Its now over 2 years since we have been TTC, 18 months since MC, its making me very sad at the moment.
13/01/2014 at 12:09
I'm so sorry you're sad Suzie. I am the same. This time last year I was pregnant, my baby would have been 4 months old now.
Also, this is the week we would have been telling everyone about the second pregnancy if it had lasted. Would have had my 12 week scan last week and be telling work today.
Milestones are hard. But keep going. We're all here for the journey xxxx
CD6. We are planning to try the Sperm Meets Egg plan this month, as well as boots couples conception vitamins which we were both on last time we got a BFP. I also have my 21 day bloods booked this month.
With regards to keeping my focus off TTC, i had an interview this morning for a new job and we joined a gym yesterday so thats 2 things to concetrate on!
Love to all x
19/01/2014 at 11:02
How are you doing this weekend Rod? I'm having an ok-ish weekend. Keeping myself busy babysitting my little nephew.
Am i right in thinking the Sperm meets Egg plan is trying to DTD every other day? We try and do that from a certain CD, but this cycle I just havent had the energy, i am exhausted, not sure whether its the metformin. Anyway, i hope you manage to keep it up and it works for you. Good luck for your 21 day bloods , and a massive good luck on the job, i really hope you get some good news from it!
19/01/2014 at 16:40
JJ I take / took metformin. I never had a GTT test for it which now I'm a bit annoyed about. However my cycles did get shorter from it so I do think it helped in some way. Also I got told metformin can help improve your egg quality etc. I only took 500mg a day as I couldn't handle anymore than that (meant to take 1500mg).
20/01/2014 at 12:13
Thanks Suzie, it worked, I got the job! I start on Monday next week! (Internal)
Sperm meets egg plan has been forgotten already! Were meant to DTD last night but didnt. Its CD13, i think I will get a pos OPK on weds, CD15, so will DTD tonight and then again Weds, thurs and Fri, as per the plan. Hopefully that will be enough.
I have my second counselling session tonight, and then my bloods on 31st.
I have no idea about metformin, I dont even know what its for so cant help! Love to all x
20/01/2014 at 21:38
Hi ladies! Sorry for being AWOL!
Suzie- I've been fine on the metformin, but I'm only taking one tablet a day. The first couple of weeks on it I did feel quite sickly though, but that's definitely abated.
JJ- I have no idea about GTT. The consultant told me that the benefit of metformin is that it helps you lose weight and that even a small loss can have an impact on fertility.
Rod- fantastic news about your job! Sperm meets egg plan sounds good!
AFM, I'm CD11, not expecting ovulation for another week. Not much else to report! I'm trying to feel as positive as possible.
