Trying to conceive

I’m new to Made For Mums and looking for some advice
I’ve just stopped taking Marvelon in the hope of falling pregnant. I started taking the pill when I was 17, I’m now 20 and have taken a few different ones in the three years of taking them
I took my last one four days ago and started bleeding two days ago. It seems like a normal period, moderately heavy with a lot of painful cramping and headaches. I’ve also been quite moody and stressed
Is this to be expected? And where do I go from here on my journey to (hopefully) falling pregnant? I’ve downloaded the App ‘Flo’ to help understand when my most fertile days are, but what else do I need to know ...
Thank you in advance 💕

i came off microgynon 30 back in June. Was on from 15 and now 20 too (21 tomorrow) Had my withdrawal bleed straight away as usual. I have had irregular cycles since, ranging from 30-42 days. last cycle was our first trying to fall. I wanted to come off before we started trying so my body to regulate a bit! Start using Ovulation strips to help you Predict! I was 9 days late this cycle So the pill can play Horrible tricks on your body but it can take up to 12 months to properly regulate! Look forward to sharing this journey with you! Best of luck 😁 x
Everyone will have a different experience after coming off contraception
Don't rely on an app alone to predict your fertile times. Yes they are useful for keeping track of periods/how you are feeling etc but they are not accurate/reliable enough to use alone.
If you are looking to conceive just have plenty of sex throughout your cycle to maximise your chances. Remember even timed perfectly there is only about a 20-25% chance of conceiving in any cycle.
Don't stress over it, don't let it take over your life. Don't Google everything (trust me I have and you still don't find an answer as everyone is different) Easier said than done at times though haha.

Thanks MrsB. Sounds silly but I don’t really know too much about it all - kind of going in blind but feel a bit like that’s for the better so I‘m not stressing too much over it all!
I’ll definitely keep an eye on my cycle as that seems the best route going forwards
Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to conceive! Exciting times! 😍 xx

Thanks StillTrying. I’m trying hard not to read too much into it all because I’m prone to getting myself worked up over things, and obviously stress is not good at all when trying to conceive!
I’ll keep an eye on things too of course, I’m just a bit forgetful so having somewhere to note down things about my cycle will be a big help. The app is also good for advice and tips and general information, I don‘t know a lot about it all and am going in a bit blind!

Don’t worry Lou, I’m new to it all too... the ladies on here are really lovely! I have downloaded the ovia app which I use alongside OPKs.
CD11 for me so getting ready to start testing again Monday!
Dont wirk yoursekf up too much as it’ll delay your cycles! Me and hubby just bought our first home and have been stressing like mad and I think that had something to do with me being late!
I hope so too! I really can’t wait to be a mummy 😍 hope it doesn’t take you too long! Xx
