Hi girls , was just wondering when it is best to make an appointment to see midwife/ gp ,. I have had 2 mc's in the last year , don't know whether to leave it a couple of weeks or go asap , maybe there's something I could take to try and help avoid another mc , not sure what to do for the best , what did you do ? x x

Huge congrats again hun. I'd be torn too. If you want to have a early scan, then you'll hopefully be offered one around 6 weeks! Maybe you could book an app with the gp & see what they suggest? Really sorry dunno what to tell you for the best x x

Congrats again I would suggest that you book an appointment with your gp as soon as you can and get some advice. I would go to see my gp straight away!

Evemum...congrats (if i have congratulated you already). When I spoke to my doc this morning she told me that my local hosiptal (kings college) have a self referral walk in service at their early pregnancy unit. She sggested that I go there for a vaginal scan. Not sure if you live near there or if your local hospital has the same thing?

Congratulations, Evenum! So glad this is our lucky month! Have a healthy pregnancy, hon. Due to your previous mc, I would call the Dr. today to see if he/she wants to check hormones or check anything else!
Very happy for you!

Thanks girls , wish I did have something like that near me LVM , it's like asking for a gold card getting to see even a midwife in our area, hope you have a fab holiday hun , enjoy the rest , will do you the world of good , have you got any symptoms yet ? x x
Yes it's fab isn't it pribaby, had a feeling when I looked at your chart we might both be lucky this month , our due dates should be the same also ? last time I went to gp after 1st mc he wasn't at all concerned , n was surprised I went so early , apparantley they wouldn't even see pregnant ladies until they had missed 2 periods years ago !! I'm lucky though as don't have to see the same gp every time , might try n see a lady dr this time ,thanks for the advice hun , also , have you got any symptoms yet ? x x

I have been feeling sick and have lost my appetite. Also, really tired today. Boobies are still really sore. lots of twinges down below too.

Yes, we probably have the same due date!
I am having quite a bit of breast tenderness to the point I don't want to wear a bra, and had mild cramps to my lower abdomen the past four days, but today they seem to be pretty much gone.
I always had breast tenderness after ovulation, but it was off and on and the difference this cycle is that at 9 dpo, I noticed I woke up a couple of nights feeling breast pain when I was sleeping on my stomach. This month I was trying not to symptom spot, but that caught my attention. So next day in the morning I saw that very faint positive. Today at 12 dpo the test line is thicker than the control line. Yay!
How about you? Is this your first baby? How are you feeling?

Oh, my stomach is a little queazy, too. Not quite full blown nausea, but indigestion after breakfast. I am really hoping this is going to be it for nausea. hehe I barely had any with DS.
08/10/2013 at 10:47
Hi girls , I didn't really suffer with nausea too badly either , but sense of smell went into overdrive - as it is doing now ! hope you don't suffer with it this time either pribaby , think the tiredness is 1 of the hardest things LVM , hope you don't have to work long hours x x
Have a few more symptoms today - not fancying my usual breakfast , usually had 3 cups of coffee (decaff) by now , not feeling like that or tea either , did another test , still pos but not as strong as the control line , kept my tests from last pregnancy - did quite a few as had a feeling something might go wrong following previous mc , compared them today n about the same progression as before , worried myself yesterday- was doing yoga practice n as I went back into swan pose I felt a really sharp twinge , in my lower abdomen ,have toned practice down as some of it is quite aerobic , don't want to give it up as I love it n it keeps me fit , worried if I stop the weight will pile on , surely we can't wrap ourselves in cotton wool n keeping active has got to be good ... right ? Oh btw , it will be my 5th , still worry as much as if it were the first though x x

OMG!! Huge congrats honey, I agree let them know your preg ASAP x
08/10/2013 at 12:28
Thanks lovely , hasn't quite sunk in yet , got appointment for tomorrow when lo is at preschool , how are you getting on hun hope you're feeling better ? x x
08/10/2013 at 14:17
Oh, hon... Don't worry about the lines. And depending on what test you are using, it may not be good for line progression anyways. With my son, I never got a line darker than the control either.
About the exercises... That is a concern for me, too. I was running before ttc and my anxiety ended up pushing me to stop and overeat (yes, not proud), so I already piled up a few pounds and I am now trying to zip my mouth and I am back to biking and eliptical. I want to do yoga again, too. I believe it's super worth it to keep at it.
Keep in touch, please. If not here, feel free to send me a personal message.

So lovely to hear form you carioke , thank you x x was thinking of you the other day , how have you been ? x x
Thanks priscila , was convinced I wouldn't worry as much this time , finding it quite difficult though , sure everything will be fine , got to try n stay positive , it's so hard to know what to do for the best isn't it regarding excercise , like you said we let anxiety take over , I remember last time being worried my bmi might be on the high side , then I lost the baby n tbh that was the last of my worries , being a few pounds over the so called ideal weight , ,Will def keep in touch , we can compare symptoms x x
Hope you feel loads better very soon LH , immune system takes abit of a bashing whilst pregnant doesn't it x x

I've not been too good I got quite down about everything and went to docs who put me on anti depressants and I went on a 6 week depression group course! work have been a bit crap so I've gone on sick for 2 weeks plus I'm due on and this would've been the last month to get a bfp before my would've been due date!!! I'm trying to stay strong and even looking for other jobs because I think at 41 I've hit the end of the road with ttc!
I hope you're all really well and it's lovely to see a bfp from ladies that have been through a tough time and have supported me xxxx
