Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

I did post a couple of times back in April, but I don't expect anyone to remember, so I'm starting again. I have been doing a lot of lurking though!
Brief history, 35, married for nearly a year, TTC for 6 months (ish) December 13 to June 14. I have had fibroids for years, and the decision was made in June that I needed to have them taken out. I had to take 4 months of Prostap in injections, and had my surgery in October. What was supposed to be a keyhole procedure ended up being open and 9 fibroids removed. We were given the go ahead to start TTC again at the beginning of the year. This cycle is my first 'proper' one since the operation, I'm 7Dpo (or 3/4Dpo) and driving myself insane. I even thought my coffee tasted like washing up liquid this morning, and thought that might be a sign of something! lol I look forward to getting to know you all and sharing BFP's!!

Hi Wally & welcome (again) to MD! That's great you've got the go ahead to get started TTC'ing - do you mind me asking how they diagnosed the fibroids?
Sounds like you're in the 2ww crazy land of Symptom Spotting - I'm there with you! I've spotted an unusual dip & increase on my temping chart this morning and am convinced it's an implantation dip!
Anyways, we still have our weekly chat thread going so feel free to jump in!

Thanks for the welcome. I had an ovarian cyst removed in 2009, the fibroids were diagnosed by an ultrasound scan then and confirmed when they went in to get the cyst. My consultant can't say for sure that they were causing us problems TTC, but felt best to take them out now rather than wait.
Fingers crossed for you that the dip is implantation, what else do you do to aid the process? opks? supplements etc? I've started with Evening Primrose Oil and trying for a baby vitamins this cycle.

I do know of some people who fell pregnant and had fibroids so I can see why they couldn't say for sure but, yes, best to get them out anyway!
I take Evening Primrose oil too (only up to ov time though) and pregnacare conception. I also use the CB Digital dual hormone OPKS as that helps me plan DTD but then the charting/temping is there to 'back' it up as such! Over the past year, I've tried all manners of things but have settled on this as my plan of action from now on - mainly cos we've just started fertility investigations and it makes sense to stay with what we were doing!
Best of luck to you; hope your stay over here in TTC is nice and short x
