Which thermometer do you have?
i have a Boots thermometer which goes to 1 decimal place. I have also just bought a cheapo 2 decimal place thermometer from eBay. This morning Boots gave me 36.2 whilst cheapo eBay gave me 36.08...quite a difference! I'm not entirely convinced that I trust cheapo. So, which thermometer do you use please?

I think I read somewhere that you should always use a 2 decimal place one when temping? I bought a cheap one from amazon and it was fine.

I have a 2dp one from amazon, it was about a fiver.
I'd use the 2dp one, because as long as it is consecutively the same then you'll be able to track the raises, it doesn't matter if its not your actual temperature iykwim. Does this make sense? God it's early!

I noticed quite a difference with both my thermoms one is a one DP and the other 2dp I use the 2 one now and my charts not so up and down all the time! Mines from fme fertility website :) it was only a few pound :)

I don't think it really matters what your temperature is, just how it changes.
So as long as you are consistent and stick to only one thermometer, you'll see accurate dips and rises. It is the shape your temp chart that is important, not what the actual temperature readings are if that makes sense.
