Okay not sure what or if I can get an answer but kind of just want to put it out there..
What do you consider spotting?
Since my miscarriage I have had some very random bleed's some I put down to spotting but I actually think my perception of spotting is too much!.
So here's a rough look at my bleeding since 18th of December
18th - 22nd of December - End of the heavy bleeding and just very light when wiping.
30th of Jan - 3 day's of bleeding Light, Heavy and medium bleed.
Then had a mid cycle bleed - Can't remember exact dates sorry!
23rd of Feb - 5 day bleeding - Light Light Medium, Medium and Light! and one day of spotting
16th 17th and 18th - I put it as spotting but I would say more Light bleeding.
I have now not ovulated this cycle. I have a history of PCOS.
I am not even sure what I am really asking?
Think I just needed to get it all out and maybe help me clarify it myself.

I played around with FF today and If I count the 16th this month as a light period I would be approaching the fertile window, So just going to DTD over the weekend incase! If AF doesn't show her face in the meantime!

To me, spotting is a very very light bleed which you detect when wiping or a bit in the underwear, sometimes enough for a pantyliner. Should never need a sanitary towel or tampon. DTD just in case, I do not want AF anywhere near your door!

Hmmm okay then well not sure one day required a pad other 2 did not... Will just DTD incase :)!
I am not to concerned if AF shows up because they I will have a good amount of my vitamins by the time ovulation comes around lol!.. At least I will know where I am if she arrives!

Yes I agree with Enjayee just a little when you wipe or a little just reaching underwear.

spotting for me would be one where it doesn't require a tampon/towel. when you say random spotting, do you mean outside of AF or before/after AF? If it's the former, I would say it to your gp; if not, I think that's normal - I usually get spotting before AF arrives and then at the end.
Thanks ladies - Wasn't sure if my expectations were more or less lol.. It's hard to gage how much iyswim

Yes for me spotting would be that you only find it when you wipe, it's a funny thing no one ever discusses really! I can have very light bleeding at the end of my AF that only requires a pantyliner but no tampon, I don't consider that spotting, I think if it can make it's own way out its bleeding!
