How long does Metformin typically take to stimulate an AF?
I'd like to try and time taking it so to avoid an AF around my wedding / honeymoon if possible!

It is impossible to to tell.
You really won't be able to use met to time your periods. On the flip side, without met your period may turn up on your wedding day anyway! I'd just take it and cross each bridge as it comes. You could be like me and still have no cycle when on met.

Thanks. I didn't realise that it worked that way, I thought when you started taking it they judged whether it was working on whether you had an AF within X period of time. Thanks for your replies.

Monnie, have you been referred to fertility at all? Sorry if thats an out of line question, just wondered as I know you don't have regular cycles etc. I didn't know if they were refusing to help anymore because the metformin was helping you with your cycles etc, or if you had decided to TTC naturally for a length of time first.
