This is my first post, just looking for some advise. I am 40 and just had my mirena coil removed (Tuesday) we are hoping to have another baby. i had the coil for 7 years, no periods during that time. I had very slight spotting today, which has stopped. No idea what my cycle will be like now! Anyone out there in the same boat? Or how quickly did you get pregnant after removal?

hi Andrea I had the coil removed awhile ago and unfortunetly have to have IVF, but my sister had it removed and got pregnant the month after! she was 39 at the time. I think every woman is different to be honest, eat healthy, look after yourself and take vitamins then your cycle should return to nornal. You may take a little time to get back to a normal cycle, they say up to 6 months. Charting is the best way to see what your cycle is doing but for now just relax and let your body adjust, you may find you get some brown blood, its just the old blood where you havent had a period.Good luck on your ttc journey, i hope it is short and sweet x
