Morning all, how're we doing? Everyone have a nice weekend?
As the weather was so good, H decided to do a bit of gardening instead of our bedroom so we'll be slowly doing that in the evenings after work. I got on the Wii Fit for the first time in 880 days (eekkk, wish it wouldn't tell us that!) however got the lovely surprise that my BMI was exactly identical! Gonna try eat healthily and a small bit of exercise every day now to build myself back up to my pre op fitness. In TTC news, AF arrived this morning so I'm CD1 of cycle 5 (or 6 if I count the blip before my op!).

Morning Tayto You've definitely got to take advantage of the weather when it comes to gardening, H did ours too, it was like a jungle! Great news on the BMI front I'm trying to work out what that is in years it's the best part of 3 so that's really good. Sorry it's cycle day 1 I was hoping that it was your month but you know what just dust yourself off and go again.
Had a really quiet weekend I'd cancelled all plans just because I felt rubbish and I'm so glad I did. I had acupuncture Friday which was amazing and it's the most relaxed I've felt for a long time, I can't wait for this week’s session now. Saturday my friend popped over for a few hours, that was nice, and then yesterday we had some other friends come over for dinner it was nice and chilled and just what I needed. The tiredness doesn't seem so bad, I've been on the tablets 4 days now so maybe they are starting to kick in, I have another scan this Friday to check my lining is thickening nicely and then Egg Transfer scheduled for next Friday we have a phrase in the infertility world known as "PUPO" which is what I'll be this time next week. "Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise" I hope to god that this is my time.

Hi Tayto and everyone else I hope you are all well.
Wow 880 days is a long time Tayto, but good news that your bmi is the same.
We had a good weekend, we had 10 friends over for dinner Sat, we managed to get everyone around the table by putting two together, yesterday I was very lazy with a bit of a hangover. TTC wise it's CD19 I'm in the 2ww but not exactly sure how many dpo, maybe 4.

Claire we must've been typing at the same time. I'm glad you had a relaxing weekend and the tiredness isn't so bad now. I really have everything crossed for you xx

Well I've had all the nasty cervix stuff sorted so can now get back to TTC.
Tayto - good news on the bmi front, mine would definitely not be the same as 3 years ago
Claire - got everything crossed for you this time
Dollyp - 10 people! Sounds busy! what did you cook?
Afm - well I've ordered some opks from amazon. I've been off the pill since the beginning of may and only had 3 cycles so just want to maximise our chances by knowing when we should be dtd if that makes sense. Not going to obsess about it but feel like I need to know my body is doing what it should.

Sorry for being MIA - I've been poorly sick last week, so wasn't in work. Still not 100% but hey ho.
AF arrived 8 days late, so I imagine being ill delayed it. Almost over now so onwards and upwards.
Tayto - sorry you're CD1, but way to go on the BMI.
Claire - can't believe it's almost transfer time, I have everything crossed for you. Glad you are starting to feel a bit more with it.
Dolly - sounds like a lovely weekend.
Holey - I ordered some OPK's as well, I'm not sure if I'll use them yet but I thought I could give it a go if I wanted then.

Tayto - Sorry AF arrived hope you're ok. Good news on the BMI.
Claire - Glad you had a good weekend, I really hope this is it for you x
Dolly - 10 people over for dinner sounds hetic! Glad you had a good time.
Holey - Glad you can get back to ttc!
SallyLou - Sorry to hear you have been unwell, glad you are better now and back to ttc!
AFM - Had a lovely chilled out weekend although had a mini meltdown on Saturday, the supermarket seemed to be a bump and baby group as everywhere I turned there they were! Had to calm myself down in the car and try not to cry on the way home! It really surprised me as I feel like I've been coping really well recently so this came out of the blue, I was ok once I got home and put some music on loud, I also made some bread which I've never done and it actually turned out ok! Getting really excited about our holiday now, roll on Friday!

Holey - Good luck with the opks, sometimes knowing whats going on can make you feel better.
SallyLou - Sorry you've been poorly I hope you get better soon
Lulu - Sorry you got upset at the weekend sometimes it just comes in waves. I love homebaked bread, it never lasts long here.
I tried to keep it simple with the food at the weekend as there was 12 to feed with me and H, I did a selection of breads and houmous olives etc for starter, then I did a lamb and a veggie tagine with coucous and salad and choc brownies with choc sauce and ice cream for pud. It all went well but it was 3 dishwasher loads to get rid of all the washing up!!
One of my best friends who came was wearing one of those anti sickness wrist bands... I asked her when we were alone and she's 7 weeks pregnant with her third. I surprised myself by not feeling upset about it though. Also sorry for not posting much lately, I've been away quite a bit with work x

Claire - Glad to hear acupuncture helped and your weekend was a good one. Good that the tiredness isn't too bad now. I have everything crossed for a nice thick lining for you on Friday. After ET, is it two weeks before you can test?
Dolly - wow - that was a big crowd for dinner - did you use your cucumbers?! Good luck for this 2ww x
Holey - welcome back lovely - good to see you here. Sounds like a really good approach to ttc - always good to know what's going on with our bodies!
Sally - sorry to hear you were ill & yes, I'd imagine it was that that delayed your ovulation thus delaying AF. OPK's are handy to just get an idea as to what's happening. I didn't use them the first few cycles either - I've got the hang of them now though and have a huge stash!
Lulu - , sorry about Saturday - I know what you mean though - sometimes, it's all I can see in places - I don't remember seeing that many babies before TTC'ing! What type of bread did you bake? Eekkk, not long now til holiday time, remind me where you're going? I know you told us (and I've probably asked a few times too!) but I've forgotten
15/09/2014 at 11:59
Shoot, was so long typing and getting distracted, my reply is (again) out of date!
Dolly - your dinner sounds lovely - fancy having some of us over? haha! I absolutely love choc brownies - my fave desert!
15/09/2014 at 12:12
Dolly - 10 guests, what a host and that menu had me salivating thank you ;) Sounds like you handled the situation of your friends pregnancy really well. It;s weird because some announcements will bother you more than others I guess it comes down to your state of mind at the time more than anything.
Holey - Hello! As Tayto has said you definitely have the right approach it's no fun obsessing over it if you can help it, I hope your stay here is a short one :)
Sally - Sorry you're not feeling well, hope you feel better soon.
LuLu - Sorry you had a meltdown, it must have thrown you if you thought you were feeling ok about things but the sub conscious can trick you! Not long for your holidays now! At least you've got that to distract you. Are you still going to crack on with making a private appointment when you come back.
Tayto - If my egg transfer is next Friday then yes, OTD will be 2 weeks after, I don't know how I'll get through that to be honest, last time it was awful, each day seems like a week, it's not so bad getting to the second week but it's a terrifying time because you're heightened to every symptom and you can't help but second guess, is it AF? Could it be implantation? Also the progesterone pessaries you take imitate pregnancy symptoms so you really have nothing to go by other than doing a test. Last time I did a test 10 days past the transfer, it showed a positive so I think I might do the same, it will be so hard to wait until OTD.
15/09/2014 at 12:57
Claire - Hmm, I guess I thought that because it's already fertilised, it would be quicker than 2 weeks, does that make sense? Or am I completely wrong?! I can only imagine what you'll be going through - perhaps plan lots of activities to take your mind off things?
AFM - AF is really being a b!tch today - I'm in horrendous pain. Wish I didn't car share with my colleague - I just wanna go home and cuddle up in bed :-(
15/09/2014 at 13:07
Well it is in a sense, because I'll be classed as 4 weeks pregnant by the time I get to OTD. I think if it's an early implanter I could test at 5/6 days past transfer and I might see something x
15/09/2014 at 13:08
Oh Tayto, get some painkillers down you. You're almost half way through the day! Not long left now.
15/09/2014 at 13:17
Afternoon ladies speedy start to the thread this week :)
Tayto - Sorry it is day 1 and that Aunt Flo is a ***, are you taking anything for the pain? I found the heat patches you stick on your knickers are amazing for my period pains.
Claire - finger crossed everything is progressing nicely for you and you are beginning to feel a bit better.
Dolly P - Your dinner party sounds amazing! I always find it really hard to ask about whether someone is pregnant or not. You been anywhere nice on your travels with work?
Holey - I too am trying out opks for the first time this month (this ttc attempt) trying not to obsess but just wanting to know i am ovulating and that we are in with a chance as I am still breastfeeding DD1. Plus i seem to like the whole science-y things.
Sally lou - Sorry you have been sick fingers crossed for a speedy recovery
Lulu - Where are you off on holiday? I know what you mean about bumps seemingly everywhere once you even think about ttc. Glad you have a method for dusting yourself off and getting on with it.
AFM - I'm still suffering with being nauseated on and off, Doc is sending me for blood tests might be anaemic. Started opks yesterday - what time does everyone else test? was negative as expected as only day 9. Had the dentist today, got to go back for two fillings and being a true drama llama i fainted on the way to the desk to make the next appointment. I am really hoping we fall this month as next month ov time we will be staying in a friends house as going away and my DH is a prude and won't want to dtd.
15/09/2014 at 13:18
Ahh I see - sorry for all the questions. I have a few friends IRL that have gone through IVF but I'm not close enough to them to ask them - I end up feeling like I'm intruding!
Yep - painkillers have been gobbled....
15/09/2014 at 13:25
No Tayto it's fine I've said before I am more than happy to answer any questions on the subject, it's very therapeutic for me to talk about it.
15/09/2014 at 13:27
Missed you there lovelygirl! Sorry to hear you might be anaemic - would that be caused by or potentially cause you issues with bf'ing? Re the opks, I test about 2 to 3 times a day as I missed it the first time I tried them. I do one @ 2, one again @ 4 and then one at 6 or 7 when I get home. Sorry about the dentist - I hate them too!
15/09/2014 at 13:46
Hi all - anyone mind if I join in today?
I'll try and do personals but, as a newbie, these threads seem to move so quickly! Sorry if I miss anyone.
Tayto - Well done on getting back to the Wii Fit. I dread to think how many days mine would say if I switched it on now! Sorry AF has arrived and hope the pain buggers off soon.
Claire - That sounds like a lovely weekend. I've heard many people say good things about acupuncture but with my needle phobia, I'm not sure I could hack it! Is it painful at all? I hope the next few weeks pass quickly for you and that this is your time.
DollyP - Your menu sounds delicious. I could demolish a chocolate brownie right now. Fingers crossed for your 2ww.
Holey - Your approach sounds like a good one and similar to the one I took in the beginning. It's good to know what's going on with cycles to feel more in control of things.
SallyLou - Sorry you've not been feeling well. Take it easy - I hope you feel better soon.
LuLu - Sorry to hear things got a bit much for you at the weekend. I know what you mean about the bump and baby group - it can certainly feel that way sometimes. I'm very jealous to hear of your bread baking success - mine has always been a complete disaster! Exciting that your holiday is so close - where are you off to?
AFM - I'm still bleeding today but still not as much as I would expect to and it kind of comes in stops and starts. I don't really no what's normal in this situation. I've made myself an appointment to see the doctor this evening. I thought there was no harm in getting things checked out.
I'm not feeling as emotional as i have the last few days. I have plenty to take my mind off things, not least the fact that we're putting in an offer for a house today - eeek! We;re buying for the first time after years of renting. It's exciting but scary as I feel we have absolutely no idea what we're doing! I'm sure everyone feel likes this the first time - don't they?? I'm also excited about our 1st anniversary that's coming up in just under two weeks. I ordered H's present yesterday. We've agreed we won't spend much as we're saving everything for moving. To fit in with the paper theme, I've ordered a vintage map of San Francisco (our favourite place we visited on honeymoon) and wll put it in a nice frame.
Hi to those who follow!

Lovely Girl - I missed you too sorry. Hope you're not anemic but if you are then you might just be able to control things with your diet rather than having to take tablets. Boooo to the dentist, I hate the place! Hope you get things sorted with the OPK's.
Aria - It's lovely to have you on board but I am sorry that you find yourself here after what happened :( You sound extremely strong and like you have lots of exciting things going on to keep you distracted. It does get easier, I also had an early miscarriage, it felt like my world was falling apart and then one day I stopped hurting. Time is definitely a healer.
