Trying to conceive

Maybe I'm just too easily excited with change (I did have a job title as Change Manager at one point in my life!) but I was wondering if we could have a bit of a discussion thread about how to integrate ourselves into MFM life when the move happens next week??
Helen has already mentioned that she will create a welcome thread for us and all our threads will be moved across to the Getting Pregnant section so we can carry on posting as before however:
1. Shall we start a daily TTC chat thread when we get there to get things going? Explain how helpful it is over here (when it's busy, that is!)
2. Encourage an "oldies" thread? So we can chat to ladies already on MFM?
Any other ideas on what we can do when we get there? (I have this vision of us boarding a boat.....!)

How many active TTC'ers is there over there now?

Do you mean over on MFM PurpleStar or over here? If it's MFM, I'd suggest asking your question on Helen's intro thread. If it's here - I'd hazard a guess at less than 10 :-(

Oh I know on here tayto as I post on here :P I meant on the new place. I've been studying the new forum for an hour or so looking through posts :)

What does it matter?! They definitely have more than here - that wouldn't be hard for them really, would it??

I'm not sure you understood what I was asking. You were saying about ideas for there and I'd never seen the setup or visited the new place so I was just asking how big a ttc community it was so I could gauge what ideas might work.
In between my first post and my second I looked up the forum and had a nosey round to get a feeling for it. I had no idea how big/small/active/inactive it was prior to that but obviously now I do. I wasn't asking for an exact number of posters or anything like that.

I did know what you were asking PS and, if you had qualified your question initially (explain why your question was important), you would have got a different response from me.
Still not seeing any ideas from you though.....

I know you and I don't think you mean it too...but you are coming across as quite rude!
As you said not everyone is as excited as the move as you and PS was just asking a question in which I understood what she was trying to say.
I have no ideas about what we can do because I have no idea how it will all work and how all our posts will fit into the new board. I was going to take the wait and see approach and see where our posts are going to end up!

Thank you for your feedback CC - I wasn't trying to be rude - I was being direct and attempting to bring the topic back on track to what I had originally posted about.

I'm not sure I'll be sticking around over there to be honest. I've had a look but it doesn't really appeal to me over there, I feel there is much more of a community on facebook and mumsnet. I went on the infertility subforum and someone had posted asking whether her test was a BFP - no replies. She then posted a few days later saying it was ectopic - no replies. That wouldn't happen here, even as quiet as it is.
Saying that, I think it would be worth trying to set up an introductions thread and a daily TTC thread to see if people can get to know each other. If it doesn't take off then I doubt I'll carry on posting there.
