Reading through the 'welcome to Mumdrum' thread and it suggests a welcome thread, so here I am!
I'm 27 and been lurking on Hitched for a couple of years. Married in April 2012 and decided to start TTC last year after buying our house. Came off of the pill (Microgynon since age 16) in May last year but no AF since then, so I finally plucked up the courage to visit the GP last week - blood tests booked in for next week to try and work out what's going on.
If anyone has any advice on this situation it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Squidgy and welcome to TTC. Well done for going to the GP - I'm sure it's hard to face that. No experience myself but hope the tests provide some answers.

Thank you both :)
I put it off for a while as I thought that it could take up to a year for things to come back...he did tell me off for not going sooner though. Fingers crossed.

CC - I did, but not regular. Having said that, they only started around 8-9 months before I went on the pill so I wouldn't really expect them to be.

The doctor did mention that it could be a possible cause. How would you know if you have it? Sorry, I had no idea about these sorts of things!

Don't be sorry, :)
I went to the GP on a different matter at 17 and mentioned that I hadn't had a period yet. I .had some blood test's and then had to have an Ultrasound to check my ovaries for cysts.
