Trying to conceive

I am new to this forum so hope I am on the right thread etc......
Basically I am a mother to a wonderful little boy who is almost 19 months old now, he is mine and my partners world and we adore him!
We made the decision a couple of months ago to try for another baby to complete our family and despite using ovulation kits and detecting my surge etc and making love on the most fertile days, once again I have had a negative pregnancy result this month. I tested 2 days before my expected period (which is Sunday) using a clear blue conception indicator test stick in the evening.......I know that they recommend to use the first urine of the day. I was very upset by the result because I had been sick that morning and had a metalic taste in my mouth, I had also been visiting the loo more often than normal......but according to the test these are not pregnancy symptoms at all!
Basically I am on here because I would love to hear from any other women trying to concieve......my partner is great but does not understand how I feel each time I get a negative result........waiting 2 weeks every month just to find out is pretty stressfull! I have tried to put it to the back of my mind this month and yet once again nothing has happened......I know I ovulated 1 day after having UPS with my partner, so I am just baffled as to why I am not falling.
We have had several miscarriages before having our son, but soon discovered this was down to my blood type, I am A RhD Negative. I had the Anti D after having my son so that should not be a problem.......I have had a brief chat with the nurse at my practise and she said that unless 6 plus months go by that they can't start testing etc for possible problems.
Anyway sorry for babling on lol, I shall leave it here.....
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this

Don't give up hope, Gemma - I had 2 negative tests before a positive and like you, I just didn't believe it was negative, i had symptoms and i felt pregnant. . I waited a week after the 2 negs and then re-tested to get the pos. (due 28th Mar 2010)
They do say that the average time taken to concieve your 2nd child is on average 8 months (I read that somewhere, can't remember where.) Once I read that, I gave up 'trying' and just made sure we were doing it in the couple of weeks around ovualtion and I got caught the first month I started 'not trying' (we were on holiday and very relaxed). That's the key in my opinion. Just relax and don't worry about it. I know its hard but the more stress and self torture you put yourself under, the less likely it is to happen.
Hope this helps. Oh and welcome to the Forum, I'm pretty new too.
