Getting Pregnant <
Trying to conceive

I haven't been on here for a while, mainly just to try not to think to much about ttc. Not that its helped pregnancy is still everywhere and i have found out in the space of 2 weeks that 5 of my friends are newly pregnant 3 of whom got pregnant 1st time!! I have been trying for 9 month now and its doesn't feel like its getting any easier but i guess i'm looking for some advice/ideas on my current situation.
I'll explain - I have been on the pill for 12 years and came off it in March 2013, i was on cilest for most of the time and changed to cerazette for the last 3 years and had no bleeding while on it. When i stopped i got a bleed after 3 weeks and from then i'd have a period the last week of the month lasting 5 days and my cycle 29/30 days. I didn't get a period in September so thought i might be pregnant and 4 tests later confirmed i was not. 12 days after i had expected my period it showed up so had a 42 day cycle (compared to what had been the norm in recent months). After that my period has been 1st week of the month lasting 5 days and 30 day cycles except in Jan my period lasted 7 days (which is what i think was the length many moons ago before i started taking the pill).
I started temping after my period started in October to see if there were signs of ovulation and fertility friend detected ovulation days for 4 cycles. I've just recently stopped as it was getting to much and i felt i'd put my mind at rest. Anyway i was expecting my period on friday and its still not here, last week and week before i had sharp pains in my nipple, felt nauseus and tired and stupidly took a test on Sat night which was a bfn. I've since not really felt the symptoms and convinced my self i'm not pregnant but i am going to test again on Sat if i don't have a period by then.
Do you think its the same as last time and its just late for no reason? Could something be wrong? I noticed that the last time i had started up regular exercise again after months of not doing anything and i have again this time. Could it be that?
Sorry this is so long winded i just keep going over and over it and i can't concentrate! x

TTC is evil, especially when it seems others only have to blink and they're pregnant.
All I can say is my cycles after cerazette were v v irregular....seemingly settling into a pattern and then changing again - the main reason I didn't go back on the, pill between #1 and #2. It is still a possibility you could be pregnant this cycle, and that you either tested too early or at the wrong time of day (if testing early it's worth using first morning urine as it's stronger and more likely to pick up pregnancy hormones.)
Hope you get your bfp soon xx

So you are now at 36 days? Sounds like it is possible it's just a late bfp but also possible it's a late AF. To my mind the fact that you are usually getting regular cycles and you know you are ovulating sounds good. I'd be surprised if exercise could affect length of cycles so quickly, but I'm not an expert.
If it was me I'd be testing again. Everything crossed the bfp didn't want to show early.

Thanks for replying. TTC is very evil! Yes 36 day cycle this time but my period has shown up today but very light and i've had cramps. I think cerazette could def be the reason for the changes i've googled it and it seems a few people have had similar problems. I keep thinking right this is it my cycles are on track but then seems to alter again its very frustrating! I'm gutted i have my period but i guess you just have to move on and keep trying. I have a busy year ahead so i'm hoping it will distract me.

ach I'm really sorry to hear that Sparkles. I have pretty irregular cycles and it makes it hard because you never know how to interpret lateness. I hope that is now the month when you get your BFP x

My periods were extremely irregular post pill.
I had 3 negative tests the week before my bfp. Two really cheap sticks off amazon and a Superdrug own brand.
In fact the first clear blue I used was a dud and I nearly didn't even try the second because all i could think was 'I don't want to waste it!' but OH made me.
Just something to bear in mind next time your thinking of testing. I hadn't been feeling myself but as I had an operation earlier that month I put it down to that but aside from that I had no symptoms (no period but my cycles were anything between 36 & 42 days).

I know i hope i'm lucky in feb! I think now that its happened twice in the future if it happens again at least i'll not get my hopes up. The longer the cycle as well the longer i have to wait for a baby. Its really silly but my younger sister is getting married in 4 months and i think i feel anxious that she might get pregnant straight away and i would be so happy for her but it would be hard. It slmost turns in to a competition! Yeah SaSaSi not everyone gets symptoms i suppose x

My cycles were long and irregular after coming off the pill. The month I conceived, I think it was around CD50 that I got my BFP, after a week of negatives. It was so had to determine when I was 'late' and when to test.
I hope things settle down for you soon.

I wish i had come off the pill earlier now! I had some bleeding yesterday but not a trace today. I think i'll test in the morning just in case but i'm expecting it to be a BFN.
