Ok so I have the washing machine going, and thought, what shall I put in next?

    Ah, duvet cover.

So just wondering why does it take so much flipping energy to do this?!

OH is out, and normally I'd rope him into helping me. So I ended up tired, hot and bothered. Oh yeah and remind me not to do it again, when I already have af cramps and backache!! xx

i think we should go back to the old fasioned sheets and blankets - this will solve the duvet problem!

    Ok so this is one thing I never have trouble with. My trick is;

    1) turn the duvet cover inside out
    2) grab the bottom corners of the duvet and then hold the corners of the duvet cover (the top / unbuttoned side)
    3) flip it so the cover falls over the duvet
    4) then grab the other end and put the corners in and do it up

You might need to give it a good shake a few times to get rid of bumps but it works like a charm.

Hubby can never understand how I can do it so quick, he takes about 10 min to change the bedding and lands up crawling inside the cover to try sort out the corners.

    I do love my duvet.

But it's a shame we can't just change the whole thing! Mind you the washing and the storage would be a problem! xx

I do it the same way as Cooper7 and its amazing how easy it makes it, infact its a job that I don't mind doing and it earns me so many brownie points with hubby. Now cleaning the bathroom, thats another matter, I can't stand that job.

Ugh what is it with men and leaving the loo seat up?? Drives me nuts! And he doesnt ever seem to be able to change the loo roll either - he must think the magic loo roll fairy does it as hes never done it in his life!

Actually I dont mind the duvet covers.

My hubby does know how to change loo roll, the problem he has is gauging how much is left on the roll. He normally leaves one square left (you know the glued bit) and then I go in bursting and land up having to shout down for him to bring me some more.

Something hubby is alien to is a washing basket!! He drops and goes. Sometimes if I am being stubborn and dont pick it up you cant see the carpet for the clothes and he doesnt even notice - he just walks over it. Eeeuuugggghhhh

Cooper I do use that method, but to really make it work, I'd have to stand on the bed!

OH has no problem changing the loo roll, it's throwing the cardboard tube in the recycling he can't seem to do! xx

    I'm with Cooper and Mithical,

Folding it inside out and grabbing the corners - Always land out standing out the bed shaking it like a slightly made woman!! Thinking I hope the neighbours can't see.

The best is when OH is home - I get him to hold the duvet, I get the corners of the cover, push them in his hands. Then throw the duvet over his head. I call it the Casper the Ghost approach. When I have finished laughing I grab the outside and pull it off him!!

    HJS
