Hi , I have been ttc and as my periods are irregular I have decided to use the Clearblue digital ovulation tests (one's that show smiley face) to detect exactly when I ovulate.I am very confused as I got 1 smiley face using FMU on CD14 but when i tested again at 2pm there was no smiley face, does this mean I dont ovulate for long ?? below is my opk history this first month, I hope someone can help
period 14/01/13- 19/01/13
25/01/13- 11.30am NEGATIVE
26/01/13- 1pm NEGATIVE
27/01/13- 8am POSITIVE (SMILEY FACE)
- 2pm NEGATIVE- BD IN THE EVENING.
28/01/13- 1pm NEGATIVE

Hi the clearblue digis detect LH. they work by detecting the amount of LH in your urine and they store this info. When you get a surge of Lh then you get a smiley face. When you tested at 2pm there would have been the same amount as at 8.00am so no smiley. You would have ovulated between 24 and 48 after smiley.
i only know this becausse I looked it up myself.
