hi tammarra... With the traditional dye opk tests unless the test line is the same shade or darker than the control that is considered negative. Personally i found it difficult with the traditional opk's as its down to interpretation (& also with those it says you shouldn't use fmu & have to then ho at least 2 hours without drinking before testing). I switched to the clear blue digital & love them.... You can use fmu which is way more convenient & also when its positive you get a smiley face (negative is just a blank circle) so there's no mistaking it.
