Trying to conceive

I wonder if anyone can help me as I have tried Google but not had much luck! I was on the depo injection for around a year then went on to a PO pill calld Feanolla so didn't have a period for around 2 years altogether. I came off the pill at the start of February & had a period around 6 weeks later, my next cycle was 37 days. So my question is when should I start using ovulation test? As I'm not sure if my cycle will be the same for my next period & without testing everyday I'm not sure how to go about it- any tips? As I have used 5 ovulation sticks in the last couple of months & never been ovulating so I need your help! I am wanting to get pregnant as soon as I can so just want ways to help it along that's all! Thanks I advance :)

In theory it should be you ovulate about 14 days before af.
id advise you to get a tracker app such as Ovia or Fertility Friend which you can use to record your periods and it will give you predictions in when you could be fertile and when to expect your period. It will only be s guide but may help as your not back in a routine yet

14 days after 1st day of period? Yeah I have been keeping track of them hut not wanting to wait months to work out so wondered if there was another way? Just wondering if I just take a test everyday from day 8 or something to see?

If your having a longer cycle you should ovulate later. 14 days roughly BEFORE you period is due. So for a 37 day cycle is should be around cycle day 23. But that is only a guide. Every woman is different you may ovulate sooner or later

I have pcos, my cycles are all over the place. I started with 2 28 day cycles then a 35 day and have had 2/3 56 day cycles. I buy cheap ovulation strips from eBay, usually around 50 of them for no more than £5 then I test at least once a day, or 2/3 time a day when I get close To ovulation. Opks don't tend to work to well for me.
Theres also clear blue fertility monitor

Thanks everyone. When do I know when to start testing? As I am happy to do it everyday but surely not all month?

Meme20 your thought is as good as mine, I don't know why the doctor prescribed it to though, please do you have any idea on what drugs I should take?
Thanks a lot

well I don't test during af, and really the week after af is pointless unless you have a short cycle but I actually do test then, that's the beauty of the cheap strips I can test as much as I want. if you want to narrow it down then you go with the middle of your cycle.
Pay attention to your cevical mucus.
Also you could get a thermometer and track your temperatures
