Trying to conceive

Hi all, please can you give me your opinions please. I am CD 12 of a 26day cycle. And I should be ovulating today. Just tested and I got this... What do you think??

Hi clairey, keep testing every day. The result line should be as dark as control line. I have a 26 day cycle but don't ov until cd16, so keep going. I usually get a few days with a softer line before my positive. Keep bd'ing though cos it looks like ov is on its way x

Have you only tested today? Or have you done them all week? Its not as dark as the test line and so could be considered as a negative. But its not really faint so could be positive.
I have found the test strips confusing till this month. First month - no faints only 2 strong positives. Second month loads of faint lines and few darker - so I thought I had ovulated (but bbt didn't show rise) so continued and then got darker a week later (and bbt rise).
So this month I have kept all my opks and lay them next to one another so I can tell more easily between a faint and a dark. So finally figured my opks out.
I suggest you do one tomorrow and see what it shows. If nothing then you poss have or are due to ovulate.
Remember swell that the strips show the surge and ov usually occurs 24-48 yrs later - so maybe you haven't caught the surge and only the hormones reducing.
No idea if that helped at all x

Thanks ladies that's really helpful! I will keep testing anyway tomorrow and let you know the results. Although as I'm sat typing this I've got what feels like ov pain! Still not sure as I don't want to get my hopes up. My BBT chart didn't show a rise this morning been very steady for the past 3 days but did have a rise 4 days ago which has since remained the same everyday. Thank you both! Fingers crossed

Hi Clairey - If your bbt didnt rise then you havent ovulated. OPKs are only a guide to ovulation coming, your bbt should show the exact date of ovulation. If you have a smart phone you can download a couple of apps that you enter your data in each day and will chart the information. I find them really useful. If you havent used any and want to let me know and ill let you know the ones i have found useful. x

Thanks Katie today I've had a big temp drop and still continuing ovulation pain I really think something is going on as it is CD 13 now. I've got many smart phone apps now. What are the ones you use called? I have maybe baby, pink pad, sure ovulation. OPK also same colour as yesterday :-/ x

If you have had a big drop today maybe your temp rise will show tomorrow. What have your temps been like previous months?
Have you used opks before or is this your first month?
Are your cycles really regular or do they vary a little each month?
Just bear in mind that even with a 26 day cycle you may ovulate at different times each month and your luteal phases may shorten or lengthen. If you have been doing bbt for awhile this will show.
My cycles have been 30-35 days and my luteal phases have been 10-13 days. So things can vary.
I use ovuview, my calendar and ff mobile (which i think you can only get when you pay). Ovuview and ff mobile are my fav.
Let me know how your get on with your temp tomorrow x

The past 4 days it was 36.5 and then today it dropped to 36.28? Suffering with dull abdominal ache too. Yes I've used opk before but not taking them as seriously this time round mainly temping.
Its my second cycle since coming off cerazette And seems to be regular at the moment. I will have a look them apps thank you!
really feel like I'm ovulating or it's on it's way as I feel different this cycle - fingers crossed

Ah if its only your second cycle them it may not be the same as the first. Can take the body a while to get back to normal. But so long as you ovulate and have AF then that's great!
Definitely sounds like you will be ovulating soon! Keep up with the opks and bbt. Fingers crossed for you x

What do you think? Last day shown is CD 15 (today)... So confused! Had a lot of ov pains yesterday!
04/06/2013 at 22:43
Well if your temp continues to rise up from today's over the next 2 days then you will have ovulated. Here's my chart this month so that you can see what post ov can look like. There are also lots of sample charts on the site as everyone is different. My dpo chart this month is different to my previous cycles its usually up and down but above the cover line and always more than normal cycle days.
What have your opks shown?x

Ok so CD 18 today and this is how it's looking Katie... I definitely think I've ovulated between CD14-16. Thanks for your chart I've had a look. I'm leaving OPKS this month to much guessing involved.
07/06/2013 at 19:58
OK so if the end of the chart is cd18 then I would say cd16 was ov, so long as the temps continue to stay high. Remind me and I'll send a pic of my opks so you can see how mine varied over the month. X

I can see a very faint line! What do are you now and how are your temps?
Oooh fingers crossed!x
10/06/2013 at 19:33
I'm only 5-7dpo? Not quite sure... temps were high for 3dpo but have now dropped the past 2 days? Confused and now feel emotional because that line has really frustrated me!! Lol. Xx
10/06/2013 at 19:41
Aww I bet you do! If you are pg then that line will get stronger each day. Which is what happened to me. So you can either wait say 3 more days or test every morning to see if the line darkens. Also did the line appear in the time frame as apparently you can get evaporation lines which are really faint and considered a bfn.
Let me know how you get on!!x

temps looking like this... CD 6 now and feeling nothing!
11/06/2013 at 21:58
Hmmm the temps are looking on the low side. Sorry hun! Where there are blue lined circles and not solid filled in this usually means that temps have been taken at irregular times. Do you take your temp at roughly the same time?x
12/06/2013 at 17:49
Thank you. Yeh roughly the same time give or take an hour on some days - I just haven't done the times properly on the chart! First time using it. Don't think I've done it this month - feeling nothing at all but utter tiredness and under stress from work at the moment. Still I'm not out until AF rears her ugly head I guess! How's things for you? Xx
