Trying to conceive

I have always had pretty obvious ovulation pains, pretty mild ones but enough to pin point what was happening in my body.
The last 3 months, they have been really painful, and i mean to the point where i am having to take pain killers. And because of the timing, i am obviously DTDing too, which again makes me very sore and tender for the rest of the night and day after
Does anybody else have this? I suppose there is not much i can do about it and should be happy that i suppose i know im ovulating when i think i should be and all of that.

Hi Suzie, I never used to get any sign of OV but since coming off the pill, I've noticed I've been getting really painful OV pain. I'm not really sure what can be done about it though :(
This cycle by body decided to let me have 'practice' OV pain 2 weeks earlier than actual OV, just because it's nice like that ;)
Sorry this isn't much help, but just thought I'd let you know that you're not alone :)

I think its just one of those things isnt it.
Its just so painful, more painful than my AF pains!
I suppose its a good thing in a way tho that they seem to be happening now my cycles have got back to normal after my MC, so i know its normal. Doesnt mean i can't moan tho lol

I get pain and an almost constant ache in my ovaries for about 2 weeks. It's really starting to get to me but, as you say, I'm lucky that I am actually ovulating. The day of ov this month I felt sick because it was so uncomfortable

Its horrible isnt it!
Last night i was almost in tears, we had dtd due to it being ovulation, and i was so so sore, i couldnt lie on my stomach and i couldn't lie on my left side.
I'm defo coming back as a man!!

Sounds awful Susie. I've never really noticed ovulation pains. Sometimes I get aches around that time but its not every month and I'm never sure if its not just in my head!

Oh gosh thats not good. What painkillers did you take?

This must be whats happening with me now. I think I'm due to OV at the weekend...and the last couple of days ive had aches in my ovary/womb area. my boobs are feeling a bit tender too.
Being a woman is hard!

I had to take some some ibeurofen, which i didnt want to take but it was that bad i knew paracetamol wouldnt work :(

Boo thats not good. I think you should see a doc if only to get advice on other painkillers. I know ibuprofen isnt recommended when ttc but not sure what else might work better and be allowed.

Strangely, since charting and being aware that I am due to ovulate I've had a lot of pain. Last month was agony and I just put it down to being psychosomatic. Maybe I've always had them but never noticed before. Either way, last month was really bad and got in the way of dtd.

Bumping an old thread. I've never had ovulation pains before but today I've had cramps very similar to AF cramps & looking at 1 of the online charts I've got (not backed up by opks) it states that today is the day I should be ovulating. I wonder if it's because I'm starting to be more aware of my cycles, or just something I ate!!!

Sounds like it might have been.
I had an even more painful ovulation this cycle. Had to go to bed as I felt sick and so uncomfortable. Lucky it really started at 10pm so was near bed time anyway.
