Trying to conceive

I'm new here today looking for some info and advice. I knew from a young age my periods weren't as regular as my clockwork friends, somewhat envious i knew something wasn't right and took it upon myself to go to my doctor to find out.. he basically laughed me out the room saying i was only young and i didn't know was "normal" was as a teenager, sad and upset i tried to let it go and got on with my life... now im 26 married and were ttc.. been trying for a year with no success so i went to the doctor very nervously expecting the same response but i needed to know.. he was lovely sent me for blood tests which showed high androgen levels so he sent me for an ultrasound and then another ultrasound keeping me updated the whole time... i now have fully confirmed pcos which is exactly what i told my original doc i had when he laughed at me....
I don't really know what to expect next im going to see a gynae soon but im really quite scared and anxious... can anybody tell me their experiences and how early you conceived?
thank you all x

I really dislike that Doctors won't start treating pcos when your young rather than waitinv until you try to conceive. It can't be good for us and I fact it's not good for us for our hormones to be so far out of sync.
I have pcos without the cysts it would seem.
I've just been for my first gyne appointment he asked questions about our sexual health, my periods, any major family health problems. He took a swab much like a smear. I had blood tests taken, peed in a pot for a pregnancy test. He gave me a form to take to my Doctors for a further blood test. Gave me a specimen pot & form to book an appointment for my Husband to have a sperm test, we agreed I need to lose weight and discussed a time frame and when to make my next appointment for when we will consider fertility treatment.
also he's sending me for a different X-ray where they use a dye to check my reproductive system
ive had a letter this morning givgood me another appointment in 6 months time As I agreed with him.

thanks for getting back to me :).
I know it really upset me when i was younger it's my body i know that something isn't right but you don't get listened too until your upset about not being able to conceive it's really frustrating.
It sounds like your really being taken care of must feel really good to have everything getting started :). I hope everything goes really well for you. I'm on the diet train myself though finding the weight isn't shifting as easily as i hoped it would, it seems rather stubborn i blame the androgen's hah!
