Hi ladies, i was told i have PCOS in Feb this year, im 21 and even tho people say im young it really got me down as i want nothing more than to start a family! My partner and i are now starting to concieve but i am just worried it will take me ages... my doc have told us to try naturally for 6 months then they will put me on a fertility drug? Any suggestions on to help speed things up or just general advise? xx

Hi hun - I haven't got PCOS but if you buy some ovulation predictor kits it will at least tell you when you are ovulating - even though that might not be very regular or often. If you look online (i use homehealth) they sell really cheap ones. Also they say doing the deed every other day is a good idea as it makes sure there are plenty of spermies in there when the egg does arrive!
Good luck - I hope it won't take you too long.

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 3 months ago. They put me on Metformin 500mg twice daily to begin when I went back for my two week follow up they increased to 1000mg twice a day. It has made me pretty sick, everything I eat comes right out if you catch my drift, it has also made me vomit a few times. Still sticking to it and trying to hang in there. I went to my GYN since nothing has really happened yet, he said it takes from 3-6 months to see any changes which was slightly heartbreaking. I really want to have a period induced and use clomid to speed things up but they will not let me do so yet he told me to come back in 4 months and if nothing has happened they will go from there..very comforting right? I'm just so frustrated and so very anxious to see improvements. It's hard to stay positive when you want nothing more than to see that BFP and experience the joys of pregnancy and motherhood..

Hello ladies, i was diagnosed with PCOS 2years ago and it is a devatating experience. we have been ttc for about 10months , been on clomid for 2 cycles but didnt work, i take 1500mg of metformin daily. clomid gave me ovarian cysts in the 2nd cycle. i didnt try clomid this cycle and the scan reveals the ovaries are still too tiny by cd11. im trying out fertilaid products now and hoping to get a bfp soon. baby dust to all of us ttc. may God have mercy on us and see us through this. amen.
