Hi
Me and Hubby have been trying for a baby since May and (heaven knows why) I havent had AF since June.

Done lots of HPT's, had blood tests and seen the doctor but they have no idea why AF has stopped. So today I'm going for a pelvic ultrasound as the doctor thinks it could be a cyst on my ovary - I've been getting quite a few pregnancy symptoms (back ache, sickness, tiredness, weird stretching pains in my tummy) but apparently they're all also symptoms of a cyst, which is fustrating!
I just wondered if anyone had been for a pelvic ultrasound, or had a cyst - apparently the ultrasounds are the same ones done at early pregnancy units so I'm guessing they're safe. Just really nervous about what they might find...my fingers are tightly crossed that they find a little bean in there instead of anything wrong.

Hi, well I went for the scan yesterday - luckily they didnt' have to do an "internal" scan as I went with a full bladder - definately something to remember as they didnt tell me this in my referral letter, it was only because I ask them if I had to prepare - so anyway, with a full bladder they could see my ovaries much better and I've now been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome.

Very very scared and upset as it seems like alot to take in. Went to see the Drs today and she started talking about my options and what it means - stil very confused - but heard it's fairly common - has anyone else had pcos? Any advice of what to do to get rid of it would be welcome! Feeling really down about it - and to make it worse, my boss had a right go at me for being late in to work cos I had the Dr's appt in the morning so was an hour late.
